Thanet Phoumsavanh (6 months ago)
I've seen you emphasizing about understanding the business instead of focusing too much on Financial Statements. Which I think it's so true. Can you please advice me on how to better understand businesses. For example where did you get the pie chart from for Canadian Pacific Railway ? The only thing I've ever read to understand a business is from annual reports, is it enough to only read annual reports to understand a business ? thank you in advance Nate I love your Channel

Nate O'Brien What do you think about Toll Brothers and Verizon

Thank you!!

Visa is good though the div is tiny. Union Pacific is a good railway. Not the 1800s. we should be building trains like in China and Japan and Europe.

Whats your views on EA i know i know, EA SCUM company and all that but their numbers dont lie man and in investor point of view they got the majority of shares with great titles, lets not forget BATTLEFIELD so with such great gaming titles why not buy a stock? Okay you might say that they dont give dividend and okay for the most part you are right but consider holding it for few years to Cash out them BENJAMINS.. Being a GAMER myself i had to ask your views on it. Take care dude,

I can’t emphasize enough, the stock market is going to crash…it’s already happening. It’s already bottomed out/been artificially stopped. They have this safety net, a false bottom and they just close the market. The markets are weak and falsely propped up. I wouldn’t advise any of my clients to go into the stock market right now. This year, it’s bottoming out.

What about baby brother mastercard -more room to grow. Do you think that is better long term than visa
Eddie (6 months ago)
I'm a freight train conductor at the Canadian Pacific Railroad, found it interesting it made the list. Where I'm at (Midwest US) about 70% of the cargo I move I'd say is either grain or ethanol. Nice video Nate!
Canadian Pacific is a solid long-term stock.
Aschraffff (6 months ago)
CP - > P/B = 5 V -> P/B = 9.8 FDX -> Hold it for some time, a little bit too expensive for me now.
tirthb (6 months ago)
Perfect prediction on visa! ELY (from last month) rocking too. Great intuition!

Wow was not aware of the different levels of reliance on AMZ among different distributors! Great content as always Nate! 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬 / 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 / 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 $ 𝐅𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥 𝟒𝟐𝟒/𝟏𝟎𝟎𝟎 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥

Ay I own some Fedex 👍
Kathy volpe-schaffer (6 months ago)
Thanks for the great info Nate. That is interesting how you revealed that Fedx only accounts for <3% of Amazon's deliveries!
James McKinney (6 months ago)
I love your stock picks. CP interests me the most, but great explanation on why FDX shouldn't be overlooked!
RealLife Money (6 months ago)
Awesome picks Nate! My personal fav is Visa! They are such a great company. I talked about my personal stock portfolio last week and V is a big holdings for me. I see nice growth. Fedex is very interesting, I was surprised you said Amazon only makes up 3% of their revenue. Good to know. Crazy market we got ;)

What do you think of Facebook?
Kreative Chaos Guides (6 months ago)
im hoping these arent prefilmed the freakin market has temporarily imploded (and has alot of ppl shorting everything which is bs) you should talk about this, cuz its a good buying op im sure the hubbub will die down after we get used to the 10 year yield which is at 3% or something
Chloe Lien (6 months ago)
Thinking about V . today is V and Fb earring conference call !! hope u did not miss it

Great videos, any suggestions of stocks that would be worth investing say $1000 into? These companies are intriguing but I'm looking for something that you could get more than 5 shares for $1000 bucks. Always enjoy your insight thanks.
colin riley (6 months ago)
Go Chasing Waterfalls if you’re looking for best long-term investment for 1,000, I recommend GE. I also recommend looking into SKX right now as it’s undervalued from the recent market overreaction...should make a nice run in the next month or so. Best of luck!

M1 finance is a great platform that allows purchasing fractional shares in pricey stocks. Great video, thanks for posting. Have a position in Visa, amazing company.
TheMoneyMindset (6 months ago)
I love Visa. Definitely a great stock!
Nate O'Brien (6 months ago)
Thanks!

338 People watched this video before me and the market is still open for another 40 minutes :-) Lately 80% of the companies have been exceeding estimated earnings, but for some reason fall lol. Could split your initial buy in and buy pre/after and avg in.
Nate O'Brien (6 months ago)
People have been dumping stocks for bonds
I don't know... I'll take a look but Canadian Pacific? I wouldn't put money there now
Rael Candelaria (6 months ago)
I look forward to seeing this channel grow.
Nate O'Brien (6 months ago)
Thank you Rael!!!
Thanks for the stocks Nate! Canada Pacific Railway looks interesting from a value perspective. I'll look into it. I'll be posting my 3 value stocks to watch this week (by Friday). Maybe you might find one of them attractive!

Hello Nate i am 13 years old. I was wondering what platform or service do you use to invest, also what websites do you use to research stocks.
Elias Manuel (6 months ago)
Thanks! Any advice you can give me?
Nate O'Brien (6 months ago)
Hi Manny, since you are under 18 you will need the help of your parents. You can set up a custodial account with Stash

Hi Nate - Another terrific video! Here's my take on your picks. CP - I don't currently own any railroads, but have owned UNP in the past and would like to again. I'd also like to own CNI. I prefer CNI over CP for the Canadian Railroads due to railway routes. CNI has multiple lines hitting both the western and Eastern seaboards, as well as multiple lines going all the way down to the Gulf of Mexico. CP on the other hand has a single line hitting the west coast in Vancouver, doesn't make it to the Eastern seaboard and their U.S. line going South only makes it to upper Missouri. CNI also has 20,400 miles of track vs. 14,700 for CP. Having multiple coastal lines will serve CNI better over the long term in my opinion (for whatever that's worth). Balance sheets and profitability metrics are comparable, so definitely not saying CP isn't a good railroad as well. It most assuredly is! UNP is still my favorite, but too pricey for me right now. V- Visa is a long term core holding of mine and I see them being the leader in digital payments for the foreseeable future. It's basically a tollroad for finance transactions and you have to love that! Their revenue growth could get hit during a recession, which to me is the main risk. Aside from that, the essentially print profits. FDX - Another terrific company and one that should play well long term. I don't currently own shares, but will look to add to my portfolio if/when there's a substantial drop in share price. That currently means sub-$200 right now and that's when I'd start a position, likely averaging in over an extended period. I love the way you pick stocks Nate! You focus on industry leaders with sustainable competitive advantages, which will serve you well over the long term. Cheers...
Nate O'Brien (6 months ago)
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Scott! CNI is a company that I have considered investing in!
Stephane Labossiere (6 months ago)
Nice video, yeah another video on lower shares would be helpful :) Thank you Nate!
In that case, come check out my channel and subscribe. While not directly a "low priced stock" video, in my 3 value stocks for May video coming out Friday 2 out of 3 are below $30 (spoiler alert!). It may help you get some ideas. Where are you studying by the way?
Stephane Labossiere (6 months ago)
Not sure if you haven't already done so but you should make a video about yourself, where you studied, what enticed you to invest, and where do you see yourself in 10 years professionally. Like a Q&A session. Your fans would love to know more about the guy behind these great videos :)
Stephane Labossiere (6 months ago)
yeah or around 50 per share. Currently in business school, so I can afford to get some of the Stocks Nate mentioned. Also, I will look at Visa closely too, I never thought about getting stock from this company.
Nate O'Brien (6 months ago)
Thanks for the input Stephane!
By lower, do you mean like shares trading under $20?
I do still like, Fedex, despite the 250 dollars/share. I went with GM, EXPE and yes, yes, AMZN for MAY 2018!
correct!
Nate O'Brien (6 months ago)
AMZN is taking over the world. Not a monopoly yet but just wait...
Mysteryqueen86 (6 months ago)
I like the way you did this video 👍👍
Nate O'Brien (6 months ago)
Thank you!
BR Investing (6 months ago)
I am looking into Adyen. A Dutch company that does payments for Visa and Mastercard and more. It's an IPO and I think it is really interesting. These in the video are too big for my portfolio. Maybe in a later stage, or a crash comes but otherwise I am sticking to my dividend plays for now
BR Investing (6 months ago)
Nate O'Brien Not sure if they're going to trade on the NYSE
Nate O'Brien (6 months ago)
Very interesting! I will look further into this!
JJ Buckner (6 months ago)
The fact about FedEx's revenue from Amazon only being 3% shocked me. Great research. I learned something new for the day. Thanks Nate!
akshay kumar (5 months ago)
Hey man great videos as always could you by chance make a tutorial on how you research? cause that 3% findings were gold man, like how you find information, how you filter ones that are important? How do you check its validity and how it stands in for long run.. Thanks once again, hope its not to much to ask cause your explanations are simple and clear. Take care dude.
Kreative Chaos Guides (6 months ago)
thats dope i never heard of that before.
