How to build a token-list for btcrecover

39 ratings | 1834 views
To automatically load a tokenlist save it as btcrecover-tokens-auto.txt We can add command-lines in the token by writing #-- on the first line # (space + # = #) (%S = $) (%% = %) (%^ = ^) (%s = single space) The + sign = only try passwords with the following token in it. The ^ sign = try following token only in the begin of password %d = 1 digit(0-9) %2d = 2 digits(00-99) %1,3d = 1,2 or 3 digits (0-999) ^r1^ ^r2^ ^r3^ = Relative position of token The $ sign at the end of a token = token is at the end of password A space between tokens = OR (%a = a-z) (%A = A-Z) (%1,3in = 1,2 or 3 digits or a-Z) (%y = symbol [email protected]#$) (%P = Anything) Find a copy of the auto token here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HeBxIG8xoE3020Reto9H42_fIIXBf9md/view?usp=sharing

Hey, you are the maaan!!! Listen, is it possible to speed up --listpass command somehow? (Like you speeding up passwords matching with --enable-gpu in wallet --wallet.dat command). Or maybe I need a better processor idk. I know, that --enable-gpu is not working with it. Thanks! Or hold on a sec. Is it necessary to run "--listpass" before starting "#--wallet wallet.dat --no-eta -d --enable-gpu"?

Sorry it took me so long to reply. So, the last thing didn't work. What else can we think of? Idk, if you want, I can send you the .dat file, and maybe you can play with it. I'm tired of it already.

Hi Bit More, maybe it is an option to try an run the wallet with -salvagewallet option. Before doing this make sure you have backed up your wallet.dat file somewhere else on your pc or external hard disk, because some users reported some issues with this option. The -salvagewallet option is build in the wallet to try to recover corrupted wallet.dat files. To run bitcoin with this option start CMD and go to the bitcoin installation directory: cd C:\Program Files\Bitcoin Then run the bitcoin wallet (Bitcoin-qt.exe) with -salvagewallet by typing: bitcoin-qt.exe -salvagewallet If this did not help let me know then ill try to think of something else.

Sorry, don't want to be annoying, but if there anything else you can advise, the help will be rewarded. Thx!

Ok, did as you said: copied the wallet from btcrecover folder. Same thing here. Maybe something happened in the file, maybe master key or something corrupted? But it launches without any problems. Any other thoughts? Thanks!

Hey man, it sounds like you do not use the same wallet.dat file from btcrecover/hashcat in bitcoin core. Here in my situations it always worked. Have you tried bitcoin-core with an copy of the wallet.dat that you used in btcrecover. (if you do this, make sure you backup/copy the wallet.dat that you currently use in C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Bitcoin)

I don't know why but when I put the signs like ^r1 on my token list they all appear on the list of the possible passwords, and the password will look like this. + ^r1 2140 ^r2 @,

Thanks man,I'm still trying but I can see the program is working
Bitcoin Daytrader (7 months ago)
No it is not necessary, it is just a trick to make working in the token file easier, you could for instance make comments of token combinations you have already tried.

Holy crap that worked! I had an altcoin QT wallet that I believe I had a typo when I set the password. The iterations took 8 hours but I got my password!

Yeah the estimate time is for btcrecover to try out the complete tokenlist. I just figured out that I did not have the addresses in the description, but now they are. Thanks for sharing my video's it means a lot to me!

It was estimated 14 hours when it started. I have an i5 so probably slower than current CPUs. Sending a donation. Where's your wallet addresses? Going to share your vid on twitter
