I just got back from vacation and was reminded about how awesome this budget-friendly backpack really is! Funny, because I've been recommending it to clients as a gym bag for about a year now, but didn't think to recommend it to you outside of my best backpacks/rucksacks article (linked below).

ummm, i say this backpacks bad, why would i want anything to have an opening on bottom of my backpack?
That compartment is not very useful. If u decide to put something there that u'll need an access on the go, it will be problematic to open it while walking. big compartment in back is also a problem, it opens way too wide, and is easy for pick pocketing.
In many backpacks u can get a top compartment fully padded with soft material so u can safely have a pair of glasses in them. Organizing system is a nice touch but only major advantages of this one over the competition is durability and slik design. If u don't mind having a logo on ur backpack better go with some burtons or hershels.
in my opinion, backpacks are more of a functional piece than a stylish one. yes, ofc there are some out there, but this doesn't seem like one.
anyway, putting in stuff into the front compartments kinda bloats up the bag and might make its shape slightly irregular, which also leads to not being too stylish. and ofc, there are other better and more mature, stylish options for bags out there, but i guess if function is the only purpose, then this will do.
What I've learned from many trials and errors in fashion for men: if you can't accept me at my worst, than you can't have me at my best.
And I don't recommend any Jordan Brand backpacks. They rip too easily for the price that they are sold at.
I'd rate it 8/10 not bad.
I personally would rather trade the sneakers compartment for a rubber bottom that way when you put it on the ground, which I noticed happens more often than not, doesn't get the bottom wet dirty/muddy, etc.
The shoe storage is optional cuz you remember you have to clean the shoe mess from the inside and around the zippers and it becomes an ultra messy job so I prefer a separate waterproof piece that can hold a lot more sole residue drip. Some dust from the pavement is acceptable but rainy weather not so much.
No Water bottle attachment, some backpacks have hidden side compartments that become external water bottle holders for easy access and insertion. Those extra compartments are important to some and can be designed to be hidden since they could probably hold other things like umbrellas or other items.
Vertical zipper kinda forces you to fold clothes rather than just roll them up, it makes it so that it swells up the back part. Lil bit pricy too, Targus & Fjallraven make some decent cheaper unisex ones that live up to the same rating.
I apologize for the confusion. What I meant by "you don't really have to carry around textbooks" was that in college, unlike high school, you don't really need to carry around 5 textbooks from class to class. In most colleges, textbooks are used for study materials outside of class. Now, if I do need to carry them to the library for studying, I would probably carry them in my hand and probably one in my bag if necessary. I wouldn't image you having to bring 2 feet high worth of textbooks anywhere you go. If you do, you'd probably be better off studying at your dorm or apartment. Also, if you have a pile of textbooks 2 feet high, I highly suggest getting online books. Hope that clears everything up.
Aer backpacks are probably not aimed for students who are in high school and below. In college, you don't really have to carry around textbooks so that's what I mean by the market target. I have the Aer dufflepack v2 and I use it as my tech bag, but I wouldn't use it to put textbooks or other chunky items. I would recommended seeing some of Chase Reeves' videos or top back-to-school backpacks for a more appropriate backpack. Hope that helps!
I have one for traveling, and it keeps my tablet and my wife's iPad and other things safe. But...try fitting a pair of size 14 EEE shoes in it.....not happening!! Fortunately, I have a Callaway shoe carrier, and I just take my golf shoes out and put my dress shoes in it for travel. It's a really good backpack, rugged and pretty nice looking too! I have had no problems with it and can recommend it!
I got the dufflepack 2 and it's amazing! I use it mainly as my tech bag and I can surprising fit a lot of things. The website says it can only fit around 24L, but I think it can fit more than that. I love the vertical zipper too!
Ashley Weston me2. I have been using version 1 of FIT well since you recommended. But i think you need to also check out the version 2 of duffle pack by AER. I think it is really good comparable to this product. Anyway, thank you for providing such a great content as always!
Ross Martin in freedom of speech i say what i believe. you can accept it or not. its my personal opinion and i do know that she did recommend this bag before and i know about this bag before Ashley insight. please do understand that i am not attacking Ashley personally. its just positive criticism
Ashley Weston with due respect to you. but that what i and others saw. this does not mean you are bad person and i find a valid reason to do so as youtube not paying enough for time and effort. whatever the case if paid ad or not. i hope you keep your channel away from the placed ads route.
