4 Expense Tracking Tips to Setup an Accurate Monthly Budget • Properly Track Your Monthly Expenses

11:20
Build Wealth By Budgeting How to Setup an Accurate Monthly Budget How to Setup an Accurate Monthly Budget 💰 How Should I Track My Monthly Expenses?| Proper Budgeting. 4 Money Budgeting Tips Our goal in this video is to help you understand your monthly expenses and spending habits so that you can begin to setup an accurate monthly budget for yourself or family. This what to do before you actually build your first budget. I really encourage you to watch this whole video because I really think it is going to be worth your time. Without an accurate budget: 1. We are extremely more likely to go into debt and stay in debt 2. We are less likely to save money because our spending is out of control 3. We are literally driving our-self into poverty because of the first two things I just mentioned. There are a total of 4 steps to this process: 1. Find a shoebox, bag, container, etc. and place it somewhere in your home where it is easy to access. 2. Make a 3 month commitment to your personal finances 3. Gather the Data 4. Summarize and calculate each type of expense at the end of each month. Keep ALL receipts, invoices, bank statements, credit statements for the next three months and place in shoe box whenever you bring new one home. The point of having all of these statements is so you have full visibility of your expenses and spending habits over the next three months. If your bank statements and bills are paperless go online, and download your statements to your computer so you can easily access them because you will need them for the next step. Consider writing notes on the receipts or statements so you what each expense related to. Give examples groceries, oil change, ****Tip to help you not lose receipts, and statements before they make it into your shoe box carry a ziplock bag. At the end of each month what I need you to do is look at the receipts, bank statements, credit statements, etc and begin categorizing your expenses on paper or in a program such as Microsoft excel. When I first did this I started on paper, but I would use excel. You are going to have general experience categories and then sub categories. (Example) Car expenses, fuel, oil changes, repairs, Groceries and household supplies, Utilities, water sewer garbage, mortgage payment, rent, you guys get the idea. Do this for the each of the three months and develop a 3 month average for each expense listed. Now you will have solid numbers to use to start constructing a very accurate monthly budget. Show example I would bet that if you have never done this exercise before that you likely do not know your numbers. I had the privilege of seeing Kevin O Leary from shark tank speak live on stage a few weeks ago in Las Vegas. He says that people who make it in business know their numbers, and those who do not fail. It is as simple as that. The same is true for our personal finances. If you and I do not have accurate numbers for our monthly we are going to fail financially. I don’t know about you, but I’m not working as hard as I am to die broke. So there you have it guys. It doesn’t take long to go through these steps. It is about an hour or two of your time each month. Do this for three months and you will be on your way to having a very accurate budget that you can use for the rest of your life without having to tweak it much. In a future video we will start building a real budget and learn how to unexpected expenses. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Related Articles: How to create a working budget: http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Working-Budget Budget tips for first timers: http://www.moneycrashers.com/how-to-make-a-budget/ Tips for a more accurate budget: http://businessknowledgesource.com/finance/tips_for_a_more_accurate_projected_budget_025293.html Track your expenses with mint:http://lifehacker.com/5725282/how-to-create-and-stick-to-a-realistic-budget-with-mint ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please leave comments and questions down below and I will make sure to respond. How to Save Money | 7 Surprising Ways to Save Over $11,000 in 6 Months

11:54
In this video, I’m going to walk you step by step how I saved over $12,000 in under seven months without penny-pinching, freezing my credit cards, depriving myself of night outs. ▸ [FREE] 🔥FREE BOOK: "The YouTube Success Formula" Discover The 31 Tactics To Start A Six Figure YouTube Channel From SCRATCH | https://tinyurl.com/ybjfs2e2 ► Join The Refusing to Settle Mastermind https://goo.gl/wsNnwu ► Free 11 Questions to Change Your Life http://refusingtosettle.com This video is not going to be about budgeting, save money on lattes, cut back on spending. This video’s going to be unconventional truth I used to save money. Here is how to save money fast and some ways to save money quickly even if you're on a strict budget. Most of these methods were kind of easy…. to my surprise. Saving money quick is about setting the RIGHT systems in place to make money work for you, not work for it. Quick Disclaimer — I’m NOT a finical expert! No finical advice is being given here. ALWAYS check with your financial provider before making any big moves with your money. 1. Quapital App: Get a FREE $5 with Qapital Here: https://goo.gl/FRuXC4 My secret weapon. Remember that becoming rich is not about money you make - it's about the money you KEEP. I use that app to save portions of every check I earn online. It does it automatically for me so I don't see it happening! I set to freelancer rule - save 30%. If you download it though that link you'll get a FREE $5 when you make your first deposit. Quick disclaimer: I wasn't paid for my endorsement nor am I directly making money promoting these guys, but I get a $5 as well if you sign up/deposit and it's a cool way you can support the channel! Here are some other methods I used: 2. Pay Yourself FIRST 10% of everything you make yours to keep! -- Make yourself rich! AUTOMATE — DON’T TRUST YOURSELF 3. Ice Cream Freezer GOING to eat it. Money in same bank account = GOING to spend it. Set up entirely different bank account (checking for one bank, savings in another bank) 4. BIG wins I will teach you to be rich -- focus on BIG wins and don’t stress about small stuff — negotiate your salary, good student loans, stay out of credit debt or pay it off, debt free first. 5. Minimalism If you can’t afford to buy five, don’t buy one. Get rid of things - shows you what you don’t need. Strip down to basics. Reverse consumerism. Step out of momentum/mix up spending pattern. Get out of impulsive buying - expenses grow to your income (more money more problems). Parkinson's Law: tasks expand to time allotted. TIP: If you DO buy, switch to cash — hard to do! 6. Audit Yourself Don’t be scared of numbers — most truthful thing out there. Binary. Know your 90-day number. Money in vs. money out. HAVE to know your numbers = HAVE to know your calories to lose weight. 7. Educate Yourself Use mint.com to track spending Unshakeable: http://amzn.to/2nk4vFY Money! Online Budgeting - What is a good income to expense ratio for budgeting online

01:18
Online Budgeting http://www.myonlinebudgetingsoftware.org When creating a budget, whether you use our online budgeting software, or a simple ledger. It is important to know what your income to expense ration is. A general rule of thumb is to stay within an 85% expense to income ratio. Of course the more you save, the better off you will be. Budgeting will help you account for every dollar made and spent. Building a budget is the act of combining your income and expenses so that you can decide how much money you are going to spend on one item, how much on another, and so on-before you actually spend the money. Creating a budget doesn't mean that all of your problems are going to be solved, but it is an important step to determining your financial health and creating financial stability. It won't be too difficult to create a budget, but it will be very difficult to stick with one. Creating and using an Online Budgeting Software is a priceless tool for everyone; it's not just for those who need to closely monitor their cash flows from month to month because "cash is tight". For people who earn enough income to cover their bills and have a regular monthly surplus, a budget can help maximize investment capital by allocating regular portions to investment means such as retirement accounts, college education plans and personal investment accounts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ncehiOarEY

Why should I budget my money - Online Budgeting Software

01:58
Online Budgeting Software http://www.myonlinebudgetingsoftware.org In this video, Corey Vandenberg discusses the advantage of budgeting your money. When creating a budget, whether you use our online budgeting software, or a simple ledger. For people who earn enough income to cover their bills and have a regular monthly surplus, a budget can help maximize investment capital by allocating regular portions to investment means such as retirement accounts, college education plans and personal investment accounts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r052EVp9nME For more budgeting tips, please visit http://www.myonlinebudgetingsoftware.org/

How to Budget: Tips for Teaching Your Child to Budget

03:47
If you are a parent, helping your child learn how to budget is one of the best gifts you can give them. Watch this video for my tips on teaching children how to budget. http://LaurenLyonsCole.com How to Budget Video Transcript: 65% of teenagers learn money management from their parents. However, over a quarter of college students don't save money on a monthly basis. Teaching teens to live within their means is a balance between helping them understand how much it costs to live, what resources they have available today as well as what they might have available in the future. You don't need me to tell you that setting boundaries with teenagers is important, and money is no different. If you give your teen an allowance and they blow it all in one day, don't just give them more cash. Just say no. This also applies with big purchases. When I was 16, my parents helped me buy a car, and I desperately wanted a sunroof. My parents patiently explained to me that sunroofs cost extra, and if I really wanted one I'd have to pay for it myself. That lesson stuck with me, and I've never owned a car with a sunroof. Although, I do still kind of want one. If you're looking for a practical exercise that your teen will really enjoy, consider coming up with a shopping budget together. Next time your teen needs new clothes, do an inventory of your teen's closet together, and come up with an exact list of what your teen needs. Maybe it's three shirts, one pair of jeans and a pair of shoes. And then give them an exact budget for those items--maybe it's $150. Then, turn them lose at the mall. Your teen's going to have a blast, and at the same time learn the necessity of comparison shopping, the beauty of buying things on sale, and how much it actually costs to buy these items. Again, set boundaries. If your teen comes home with one $150 pair of jeans, don't just fork over more cash for the remaining items. Sit down and come up with a solution together. The best ways for teens to learn the ins and outs of money management is to teach them bookkeeping, the old fashioned way. Just like we all had to learn long division before we got to use a calculator, teaching your teen to track their income and expenses now will pay off big later. Let them choose a cool notebook and help them set up a system to record any money they earn--whether it's babysitting money, allowance, gifts--and every dollar they spend. Help them understand how much things cost in terms of how long it takes to be able to earn the money to afford them. If it takes 6 hours of babysitting to buy one new video game, teens will quickly learn the value of a dollar--and of hard work. Teaching teens to live within their means can be tough on a parent. Of course you want to give your child everything they want. But instead of just giving them anything they want, consider supporting them in finding new ways to earn income. Maybe that means getting an after school job or starting their own business mowing lawns on the weekend. There's nothing wrong with letting your teen spend money. As long as they learn what it takes to earn the money to afford what it is they want. If your teen is doing a good job saving, it's time to take a sigh of relief. But it's not time to stop teaching. Take your teen to a local bank and help them open a high yield savings account. Ask the bank representative to teach your teen about compounding interest. Or do a quick online search yourself to find calculators that can show your teen how their savings will grow overtime. Understanding compounding interest can serve as extra motivation for your teen to save now instead of spend. Money can be a tough topic, so don't be afraid to work your way up to it. If the conversation feels difficult, why not start with something fun that will indirectly teach your teen about money? Schedule a family game night, play the board game Life, and see if any conversations come up organically. Remember, you don't have to have all the answers. You just need to get them talking. -- From iVillage.com's "The Money Talk"

21:21
HOW TO UPGRADE YOUR WARDROBE ON A BUDGET Every time I get the chance to transform my clothes and be a designer at least for an evening I use it! So grab your scissors and let's get creative together. We can make awesome new collar on your boring T-shirt. Take out a thread which connects your collar to the T-shirt. Cut this collar strap in half. Then sew it with machine. Now you've got a double collar. And if you wanna fold your T-shirts like Flash, I highly recommend to use A B C scheme. You will stack a pile of T-shirts in a minute! And here's a reeaally quick method to take your T-shirt off - 1:13 I wanna share with you awesome way to make bow sleeves. First turn your T-shirt inside out. Cut the edge of the sleeves and the bottom line of the T-shirt. Cut out 2 little straps from the bottom line and make cute bows on the sleeves. Put them together using some hot glue gun. It's high time to upgrade your wardrobe for summer season! And I've got plenty of super stylish and unique handmade clothes design ideas you'll be yearning to try asap! If you accidentally splashed some paint on your denim jacket and thought it was over, I'll prove you wrong and demonstrate an awesome way to revive your favorite jacket and turn it into perfect summer outfit! So grab your scissors, threads and needle and let's get to work! I'll also show you numerous ways to transform your old T-shirts into unique skirt or dress dress! You can make little straps at the bottom of the T-shirt, tie them in cute knots and easily turn sleeves into pockets. You can turn your plain jeans into sassy ripped ones, all you need to have is pair of scissors and tweezers for decoration. If you like adding holes to your clothes like I do, you can make heart-shaped open back in your dress or T-shirt, which is especially comfy during summer time! You can also make stylish holey leggins and super cute lace pockets for your denim shorts. Guess what, you can even make breathable sneakers, just grab the scissors and...you already know what to do! ;) TIMESTAMPS: 1:00 A B C folding scheme 1:25 Bow sleeves 6:10 Restyle your old clothes 10:00 Hide your bra 13:44 Panties into top ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Our Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/5min.crafts/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/5.min.crafts/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/5m_crafts Subscribe to 5-Minute MAGIC: http://bit.ly/2ldditZ Subscribe to 5-Minute Crafts GIRLY: https://goo.gl/fWbJqz Subscribe 5-Minute Crafts KIDS: https://goo.gl/PEuLVt The Bright Side of Youtube: https://goo.gl/rQTJZz ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- For more videos and articles visit: http://www.brightside.me/

How to Make a Personal Budget

02:10
Watch more How to Manage Your Money videos: http://www.howcast.com/videos/93423-How-to-Make-a-Personal-Budget Anybody can create a budget. Making one you can live with is the challenge. Step 1: Track expenses For one month, write down every single cash purchase that you make. Step 2: Review finances With the help of your spending journal and your credit card and/or debit card statements, tally up how much you spent the past month. Then subtract it from your monthly net income. Step 3: List debts List any debts you have. Tip You can find personal finance software online that will help you create a budget. Step 4: Analyze spending If you are spending more than you earn, see where you can cut back. Keep trimming until you’ve figured out an amount you can afford to spend each month on nonessential items like new clothes and dinners out. Tip Don’t forget to include a payment to yourself—as savings. Even if it’s just a nominal amount, it will get you in the habit of saving money. Step 5: Include seasonal expenses Tally up as many annual expenses as you can (holidays gifts, a summer vacation, birthday presents); divide by 12 and add them under 'Miscellaneous.' Tip If you have credit card debt, factor in the greatest monthly payment you can afford that is above the minimum so you can begin chipping away at your debt. Step 6: Make adjustments Review your budget every month and adjust it if necessary, even if that means allocating more to expenses and less to savings and/or debt than you’d hoped. You need to keep it realistic, or it won’t work. Tip If the holidays kill you every year, consider starting a Christmas club account—that’s where a certain portion of your paycheck goes directly into a special bank account. Step 7: Be realistic Be realistic about sticking to your budget. Like a diet, a budget is meant to be blown once in a while. Just don’t use it as an excuse to ditch it altogether. Did You Know? About 1 in 20 American households owes $8,000 or more on credit cards, according to the Federal Reserve.

25 BUDGET CLOTHING HACKS YOU HAVE TO TRY

16:14
BUDGET CLOTHING HACKS Someone smart once said: 'Crazy equals genius!' I couldn't agree more! So if you're crazy/genius enough you should definitely give these hacks a try! Learn how to quickly clean microwave using only water and vinegar, how to vacuum in order to find small jewelry items, discover unexpected yet insanely effective uses for VODKA! And simply genius ways to transform your hoodie into into an all-purpose clothing item: you can turn it into a laptop case, bottle opener, portable pillow or even a drinking device, insert your earphones in it to make it more comfortable or create an amazingly cozy blanket-dress, you name it! DON'T forget to check out my favorite ways to remove sweat stains from clothes! This is how to remove sweat stains before they begin: Run stain-prone clothing under cold water and gently rub the armpit or other problem areas before washing. If your clothes already show signs of yellowing, avoid using hot water during the wash cycle because it will set the stains. Pretreating clothes with a paste made from 4 tablespoons baking soda and 1/4 cup warm water can help vanquish a variety of stains. For example, rub it into shirts to remove perspiration stains; for really bad stains, let the paste dry for about two hours before washing. Rub out tar stains by applying the paste and washing in plain baking soda. For collar stains, rub in the paste and add a bit of vinegar as you’re putting the shirt in the wash. These are other brilliant ways to use baking soda, for more than just cleaning. Want to see those sweat marks disappear from shirts and other garments? Just pour a bit of vinegar directly onto the stain, and rub it into the fabric before placing the item in the wash. You can also remove deodorant stains from your washable shirts and blouses by gently rubbing the spot with undiluted vinegar before laundering. Here are the common laundry mistakes you should be avoiding. Avoid expensive dry-cleaning bills! Remove unsightly underarm stains from shirts and blouses simply by scrubbing them with a mixture of equal parts lemon juice and water. Doing a budget as a couple - Online Budgeting Software

01:24
Online Budgeting Software http://www.myonlinebudgetingsoftware.org/ Be sure to view all of our other free videos on budgeting and personal finance. In this video, Corey Vandenberg explains the benefits of doing budget as a couple and why you should do it together. When creating a budget, whether you use our online budgeting software, or a simple ledger. For people who earn enough income to cover their bills and have a regular monthly surplus, a budget can help maximize investment capital by allocating regular portions to investment means such as retirement accounts, college education plans and personal investment accounts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TbrkcPCUj34 For more budgeting tips, please visit http://www.myonlinebudgetingsoftware.org/
