PCIe 1 x 4 Adapter hurt mining performance?

07:01
There are quite a few videos out regarding this topic, but they don’t provide stats. I wanted to test whether or not this Ubit PCIe 1 x 4 adapter would impact mining performance. This isn’t your only choice for expanding a PCIe x1 slot to 4 or 6 slots, but it is one of the more cost-effective solutions available. I want to warn some out there that running your GPU’s 24/7 can burn up, not only, your video card, but also the PCIe slot it is connected to. With that said this adapter is pulling a lot of computing performance through a single slot, and that may cause your hardware to burn out. There is no way to predict when that will happen, as factors such as quality of components and the mining hardware your using can impact the time till failure. Use these adapters at your own risk, and make sure to research the companies that make them. Beware of cheap components and ensure you are running capable hardware, this will help expand the life of your mining system. Good Luck Link to Ubit Adapter on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073W9KCFC/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 If you would like to donate, to help the channel I vow to use donations sent to improve content! Benchmark 1X to 16X PCI-E PCI E Express Extender - 193

12:23
It is not easy to get a powerful graphics card in a rack server. Therefore, I bought two of these 1X to 16X PCI-E PCI E Express Extender, on www.aliexpress.com Please know, that even though there is being used a USB cable to make the connection between the 16X PCI-E GPU PCB and the 1X PCI-E mini PCB that goes in to the motherboard,, this is just a cable,, and do not work with an USB port. Problem - BTC IC6S 8 PCI-E Slots Mining Motherboard Main Board

00:28
Item Received, but no operating manual, no external box, no hard drive power cable. OK, but its NO working. ;( I visited 4 (four) computer companies where service engineers put all possible DDR4 RAM, but the motherboard did not go. He releases one long and three short sounds. Likewise, it does the same sound when there is no memory in the memory slot. The problem is production and is either in the memory slot or BIOS. I am myself a graduate engineer with 25 years practis In computer science. See atached video and photos of tested memories.

Modifying a PCI-E 16x Card to fit into a PCI-E 1x slot

06:02
Ever wanted to fit a gfx-card to a pci-e 1x slot, here is how. For actual usage you should probably use something like this http://goo.gl/rcKGqG for a 1x to 16x adapter and http://goo.gl/2iHXY7 for a 4x to 16x adapter, note these links go to Amazon and should you buy trough them, I get a tiny amount of monies. FAQ: but but... why not use a riser or cut the back of the slot? because this video just demonstrates what you can do, not what you should do. Besides if you just want a picture chances are that the gfx-card is less expensive than the motherboard you would have a chance of ruining, not to mention that even with cutting it might not fit because of component placement. Also, if you go ahead and do this against your better judgement and common sense, it is entirely on _your own responsibility_.

Next-Gen PCI-e Flat Risers for Mining

03:49
Next-Gen PCI-e Risers for mining rigs are a nice thing to see, revolutionising the ugly usb cables into a slim stackeable design makes it possible to make it more manageable for building rigs with more than 12GPUs in the future. Unfortunatly they were too expensive for my desire for future builds... maybe it will get cheaper in the future and then i will consider selling these on the website! How-To: Add More SATA Ports to Your Computer

06:21
I wanted to add some additional SATA ports to my home server computer. While it was a bit more of a task than I was hoping it would be because of my super short attention span, I'm happy with the end result. This is a how-to video where I cover how to install a SATA PCIe card into a computer. Once the card was installed, I was able to install up to 4 additional SATA drives to my computer. SATA drives include things like Hard Drives (HDDs), Solid-State Drives (SSDs), Optical Drives (CD/DVD/Blu-Ray Drives). This is a very simple way to add more connectivity to your computer without upgrading your motherboard. PCI-E 1X -16X USB Extension Riser Cable Unboxing Urdu/Hindi 2018

02:04
Join Social Site : Facebook Page : https://www.facebook.com/apnaurdututorial/ Some People Asking Question Here Is Answer : 1.How do PCI riser cards work? A riser card is a right angle expansion card that is used to extend a slot for card in computer to make room to plug it in. They are most commonly used in low-profile, 1U and 2U rackmount chassis or embedded systems. ... Riser cards and bus extenders can adapt your expansion slots so that they work for you. 2.What is a PCI E cable used for? Extra wire just means more voltage drop. And if you're using a peripheral connector to PCI Express adapter then be sure to plug each of the adapter's peripheral connectors into a separate PSU cable. They gave you two peripheral connectors for a reason 3.What is the riser card? A riser card is a board that plugs into the system board and provides additional slots for adapter cards. Because it rises above the system board, it enables you to connect additional adapters to the system in an orientation that is parallel to the system board and save space within the system case 4.What is a riser cable used for? Riser cable. ... Thus, plenum cable can always replace riser cable, but riser cable cannot replace plenum cable in plenum spaces. Both plenum and riser cables commonly include a rope or polymer filament with high tensile strength, which helps support the weight of the cable when it is dangling in an open chute 5.What is the CPU power cable? ATX12V 4-pin power connector (also called the P4 power connector). A second connector that goes to the motherboard (in addition to the main 24-pin connector) to supply dedicated power for the processor. For high-end motherboards and processors, more power is required, therefore EPS12V has an 8-pin connector. 6.What is a Molex in a computer? Molex is the name of the company who develops computer and other related connectors and products. This term is also known as the Molex power connector, which is the connector shown in the picture and is what connects your computer power supply to drives and devices inside the computer. 7.What is a 20 4 pin connector? Main power connector for the motherboard. Notes: On a 20+4 Pin connector, four of the pins are on a separate block making it reverse compatible with the older motherboards that require only a 20 pin connector. 4 Pin ATX12V. Connects to the motherboard ATX 12V socket. 8.How can I tell if my power supply is dead? The Answer Plug the power supply into the wall. Find the big 24-ish pin connector that connects to the motherboard. Connect the GREEN wire with the adjacent BLACK wire. The power supply's fan should start up. If it doesn't then it's dead. If the fan starts up, then it could be the motherboard that's dead. 9.What are SATA cables used for? Serial ATA (SATA, abbreviated from Serial AT Attachment) is a computer bus interface that connects host bus adapters to mass storage devices such as hard disk drives, optical drives, and solid-state drives. ... SATA host adapters and devices communicate via a high-speed serial cable over two pairs of conductors. 10.What is a 6 pin power connector for? The ATX 6 pin power supply connector is a motherboard power connector used to provide +12 VDC to the processor voltage regulator. This 6-pin connector is also sometimes used to provide extra power to high-end video cards 11.How do I check power to the mother board? Start by unplugging the power switch from your motherboard. 2. Take a flat head screw driver and touch it to the two pins the power switch was plugged into for 1-2 seconds. If the unit comes on then the power button is faulty, otherwise you may want to try the paper clip test on your power supply. 12.Is there a difference between SATA cables? Our results confirm that despite the faster hardware available today, there is still no performance difference between SATA 3Gb/s and SATA 6Gb/s cables. The SATA 3Gb/s revision only supports transfer speeds around 300MB/s, yet we saw transfer speeds up to 500 MB/s with each cable that we tested 13.Are SATA cables all the same? The same cables and connectors used for current SATA implementations can be used to connect SATA 6Gb/s devices. ... In other words, as long as you are not using cheap knock-off cables there should not be any difference 14.What is the difference between SATA 1 2 and 3? SATA III (revision 3.x) interface, formally known as SATA 6Gb/s, is a third generation SATA interface running at 6.0Gb/s. ... SATA III specifications provide backward compatibility to function on SATA I and SATA II ports. However, the maximum speed of the drive will be slower due to the lower speed limitations of the port 15.Can you run BIOS without RAM? Yes, this is normal. Without RAM, you cannot get a display. Furthermore, if you don't have a motherboard speaker installed, you will not hear the associated beeps indicating that RAM was not present in the POST. You should get a motherboard speaker; it is an invaluable tool in diagnosing your computer

5 GPU Old Desktop Computer Bitcoin Mining Rig

05:45
Expansion board allowed me to install 5 graphic cards on old desktop computer and mine bitcoin with this easy to build set up. No scratching my head how to connect all the components together. Entire process was very easy and the rig was operational within 2 hours. Setting up a GPU rig is pretty much the only way old computer desktop can be usefull in mining cryptocurencies. With just 4 new components I managed to turn old, fairly useless desktop into bitcoin mining machine. How to Build a Mining Rig

54:23
Ever wondered how to build a mining rig? Well, today is your lucky day. In this video I show you the steps I took to build my fourth mining rig. This rig currently has four ASUS Strix OC 1080 TIs, however I will be adding two more from my main PC in the future once those are replaced. The system is setup using Windows and is designed to operate 24 hourts a day without interruption. Setting up the rig isn't difficult, though there are some things that can set you back during the installation if you don't do things right. Parts I used to build the rig: USA / UK ASUS Strix OC 1080 TI - http://amzn.to/2Gh2Mv8 / http://amzn.to/2FkapzK ASUS Z270-A Motherboard - http://amzn.to/2DAlYmE / http://amzn.to/2D9uUi0 Intel Pentium G440 Dual Core CPU - http://amzn.to/2D7kLSX / http://amzn.to/2FFaor3 Kolink Continuum 1500W Platinum Power Supply - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kolink-continuum-1500w-80-plus-platinum-modular-power-supply-ca-030-kk.html Ballistix Sport LT 4GB DDR4 2666 2666Mhz RAM - http://amzn.to/2GlUPoi / http://amzn.to/2Fm86w5 Western Digital 120GB SSD - http://amzn.to/2Dhit74 / http://amzn.to/2FI7EsL PCI-E Express 1x to 16x Riser Cables (Version 007) - http://amzn.to/2DDdNWQ / http://amzn.to/2B3o9fG (Version 008S looks better) M.2 Key M to PCI-E 4X Adapter Card (for 8th GPU) - http://amzn.to/2Dj23eg / http://amzn.to/2B3omiY NETGEAR 8 Port Gigabit Ethernet Switch - http://amzn.to/2DDbanW / http://amzn.to/2B3rHi4 Cat 7 Ethernet Cables - http://amzn.to/2DCgIin / http://amzn.to/2raBUcF BESTEK 8 Way Surge Protecter - http://amzn.to/2Di2wxd / http://amzn.to/2B3WfAb AmazonBasics 5-Shelf Shelving Unit - http://amzn.to/2DB5vP8 / http://amzn.to/2Di9mmj HDMI Switcher - http://amzn.to/2D9VtDm / http://amzn.to/2B3Aqkn AmazonBasics High-Speed HDMI Cable - 10 Feet (3-Pack) - http://amzn.to/2Dhjjke / http://amzn.to/2DlMUcb Microsoft Wired Keyboard 600 - http://amzn.to/2DhjdsS / http://amzn.to/2DfKU5h Cable Ties - http://amzn.to/2DlpELy / http://amzn.to/2r8Zyqd For my other builds I use the EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 T2 Power Supply - http://amzn.to/2rcskpA / http://amzn.to/2D5TdNM EVGA is a much better brand and comes with a 10 year warranty and high quality braided cables, but I opted to buy the lesser known Kolink Continuum 1500W Platinum Power Supply to save money (It was around two-thirds of the cost of the EVGA equivalent). Make Laptop External Graphics card Unbox [ Bangla ]

02:37
This Video I will show You How to Make A desktop graphics card as Laptop Graphics Card with Mini pci riser card Full bangla Tutorial [ Part 1 ] Follw My Video Step And Watch full Video in Part 1 What Is graphics Card ?? As an alternative to the use of a video card, video hardware can be integrated into the motherboard or the CPU. Both approaches can be called integrated graphics. Motherboard-based implementations are sometimes called "on-board video" while CPU-based implementations are known as accelerated processing units APU. Almost all desktop computer motherboards with integrated graphics allow the disabling of the integrated graphics chip in BIOS, and have a PCI, or PCI Express PCI-E slot for adding a higher-performance graphics card in place of the integrated graphics. The ability to disable the integrated graphics sometimes also allows the continued use of a motherboard on which the on-board video has failed. Sometimes both the integrated graphics and a dedicated graphics card can be used simultaneously to feed separate displays. The main advantages of integrated graphics include cost, compactness, simplicity and low energy consumption. The performance disadvantage of integrated graphics arises because the graphics processor shares system resources with the CPU. A dedicated graphics card has its own random access memory (RAM), its own cooling system, and dedicated power regulators, with all components designed specifically for processing video images. Upgrading to a dedicated graphics card offloads work from the CPU and system RAM, so not only will graphics processing be faster, but the computer's overall performance may also improve. Both of the dominant CPU makers, AMD and Intel, are moving to APUs. One of the reasons is that graphics processors are powerful parallel processors, and placing them on the CPU die allows their parallel processing ability to be harnessed for various computing tasks in addition to graphics processing. (See Heterogeneous System Architecture, which discusses AMD's implementation. APUs are the newer integrated graphics technology and, as costs decline, will probably be used instead of integrated graphics on the motherboard in most future low and mid-priced home and business computers. As of late 2013, the best APUs provide graphics processing approaching mid-range mobile video cards and are adequate for casual gaming. Users seeking the highest video performance for gaming or other graphics-intensive uses should still choose computers with dedicated graphics cards. (See Size of market and impact of accelerated processing units on video card sales, below. Beyond the enthusiast segment is the market for professional video cards for workstations used in the special effects industry, and in fields such as design, analysis and scientific research. Nvidia is a major player in the professional segment. In November, 2013, AMD introduced a so-called "Supercomputing" graphics card "designed for data visualization in finance, oil exploration, aeronautics and automotive, design and engineering, geophysics, life sciences, medicine and defense. Are Cheap PCIE riser cables worth buying?

11:53
In this video I compare a cheap $10.00 PCIE Riser cable to a quality $40.00 PCIE Cable from Thermaltake to see if all PCIE cables are created equal. All games were tested using my Sapphire Vega 64 Reference card and Asus Maximus Viii Hero motherboard. My CPU is an intel i7 6700k overclocked to 4.6 ghz. My memory is 32GB of G.skill DDR 4 ripjaws V overclocked to 2700mhz. I am using a custom profile for my Vega 64 and the settings are as follows: The GPU is Undervolted to 1105mv,, a .5% overclock was applied to the stock clock speeds, Memory is overclocked to 1105mhz. Power limit is set to max +50% amd the fan curve is set from 2845 RPM-3775RPM. All games were tested at 1440p and used the highest available presets. In a few cases I applied further customs settings to enhance the quality further. All Synthetics were run using their default settings with the exception of Heaven which is run using max settings at 1440p. What is a Riser Card | Computer & Networking Basics for Beginners | Computer Technology Course

03:34
What is a Riser Card, Computer & Networking Basics for Beginners, Computer Technology Course. A riser card is a printed circuit board that picks up a multitude of signal lines via a single connector on a motherboard and distributes them via dedicated connectors on the card.Riser cards are often used to allow adding expansion cards to a system enclosed in a low-profile case where the height of the case does not allow for a perpendicular placement of the full-heightexpansion card.A riser card is a board that plugs into the system board and provides additional slots for adapter cards. Because it rises above the system board, it enables you to connect additional adapters to the system in an orientation that is parallel to the system board and save space within the system case.Riser cards are used in rack-mount server and industrial computer applications. In 1U and 2U rack-mount computer systems, riser cards are integrated into the system to allow the addition of feature cards in a horizontal position. This is due to the height limitations of a 1U and 2Usystem which are 1.75" and 3.5" respectively. Typically a 1U system uses a 1U single slot riser card whereas a 2U system uses a 2U 3 slot riser card.Desktop computer riser boards were used with LPX, NLX, and even some ATX motherboards. LPX motherboards had a riser board slot on the motherboard.NLX motherboards plugged into a riser board, and Intel had an ATX motherboard with riser board. The ATX riser board supported either two or three PCI cards, but never supported AGP.Nowadays riser cards are often used by miners, for mining crypto-coins. These riser cards extended by USB-cable are used to place GPU mining-cards in a so called mining-rack.The Advanced Graphics Riser is a variation of the Accelerated Graphics Port (AGP) used in some PCIe motherboards made by MSI to offer a limited backwards compatibility with AGP. Advanced Graphics Riser is effectively, a modified PCIe slot allowing for performance comparable to an AGP 4X / 8X slot, but with limited support of AGP cards. .......
