The Children Risking Their Lives In Underwater Gold Mines

Desperate men and children scour underwater mine-shafts in this terrifying report. Breathing through nothing more than a thin pipe connected to an air compressor, going 30 foot deep underwater for hours in search of gold is all in a day’s work for 16-year-old Gerald. "I'm afraid, if the earth collapses, I will get buried underneath" says the teenager. Surrounded by rock walls in the pitch black darkness of the water, the men chip away at walls for 3 hours. They find no gold. For many like Gerald school is a distant memory, and illegally diving for gold the only alternative to starvation. Hundreds of deaths by electrocution, drowning and even the possibility of Mercury poisoning have had little impact on compressor mining activities, which continue un-policed and unregulated. There appears little hope of change on the horizon. "If I could only give job opportunities - I will take them away from compressor mining. It is just that I have no alternative at this point" says Ricarte Padilla, Mayor of Jose Panganiban - Philippines' so-called "Gold Coast". As it is, the children and family men unearthing 60-80kg of gold per month see the lions share of wealth disappear into the Chinese black market. ENGINEERING PROFESSIONAL NEC ENGINEER MIGRATING FROM PHILIPPINES TO AUSTRALIA

03:40
Mabuhay! This video is presented by Jose Respall, the principal of Respall Migration Australia which was founded in 1999. If you are a Filipino Engineering Professional working in the Philippines or overseas in a country outside Australia here is a great opportunity for you. A chance to further your career in Australia. It is a land of opportunity with higher wages and a wonderful relaxed way of life. Joseis a registered migration agent who specialises in Australian immigration. The Respall agency is based in the Philippines as well as in Australia. Respall Migration Australia has helped hundreds of engineers from the Philippines to migrate successfully to Australia in the many disciplines of engineering such as civil engineering, mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, chemical engineering, electrical engineering, structural engineering and production engineering. Respall Migration Australia are experts in how to migrate to Australia from the Philippines. The first step involves reading the first 4 chapters of Jose Respall's book Avoiding The Migration Minefield - How To Migrate To Australia From The Philippines. The book captures his 14 years of Australian immigration experience. Respall has made the first 4 chapters available in a downloadable e-book from the website at http://www.respall.com/. He has included real life Australian immigration case studies, hints and tips on how to migrate to Australia, technical information and the all-important code of conduct. The video outlines the process to receiving a visa to live in Australia. The Engineering Professional applicant must attend a review for the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) at Respall Migration Australia Manila. This is done to help the applicant to pass it. The engineer is shown the Competency Demonstration Report (CDR) which is a requirement of Engineers Australia to prove the applicant has the experience to work in Australia. Respall Migration Australia documentation specialists assist the Naval Architect with each document to make sure it is correct - this includes improving their CV to Australian standards. Engineers Australia is the assessing authority for engineers who migrate to Australia from the Philippines. Once the IELTS test has been passed and Engineers Australia has provided a favourable letter the next step is for Respall Migration Australia to prepare an Expression of Interest and lodge it with the Department of Immigration and Boarder Protection (DIPB). The department sends specific instructions regarding the engineer application for Australian immigration and Respall Migration Australia help the Engineering Professional to complete the requests. Once those requirements are met the department issues a visa grant for the engineer and their family members - if they are included in the application for Australian immigration. To start this whole process a Filipino Engineering Professional must email their CV to Respall Migration Australia for assessment. Engineers living in the Philippines can meet Respall Migration Australia in their Makati City office; those further away can Skype. The complete book Avoiding The Migration Minefield - How To Migrate To Australia From The Philippines will officially be launched in May 2014 to celebrate the 15th anniversary of Respall Migration Australia. Respall Migration Australian principal Jose Respall says there is a real minefield when it comes to Australian immigration. Engineers being highly skilled professionals sometimes attempt to prepare their own visa applications but they can't be expected to know the Migration Act and keep up with Australian government changes to legislation which occur several times a year. One wrong answer or incorrect document can jeopardise the entire application. The other danger is the many unscrupulous and corrupt individuals who promise to help but really are only interested in taking the applicant's money and disappearing. Some have masqueraded as migration agents. The end result is usually the visa applicant losing a lot of money for no gain. Respall Migration Australia stresses the need for a genuine and valid visa application for Australian immigration. 🇵🇭 Philippines: After Haiyan | 101 East

25:01
The horror of Typhoon Haiyan is never far from Angela Toliba's mind. She was 12 years old when she lost both her parents in the storm; 380km winds and terrifying waves surged into her hometown, Tanauan, on November 8, 2013. A year on, she lives in a small hut near the shore where emergency workers found her father's body. "Sometimes when I swim, I feel like I step on hands, feet and fingers in the sand," she says. This Saturday marks one year since Haiyan, which was the most powerful typhoon to ever hit the Philippines. More than 6,000 people were killed, and millions displaced; entire towns were flattened on the central islands of Leyte and Samar. A year later, many in coastal communities remain in temporary camps where there is no access to jobs or livelihoods; less than one percent of families displaced are living in permanent housing. Survivors of the storm are angry about poor aid distribution, slow rebuilding and what they say are highly politicised reconstruction efforts. But one town, Tanauan, is successfully overcoming these challenges. 101 East reporter Drew Ambrose arrived in Tanauan days after the storm and met Angela and other storm victims, like the Labada brothers, and Elmer and Mariano who were searching for their four missing children. A year later, Ambrose returned to the Philippines to find out how survivors are coping after the storm. Swiss Teenagers Forced To Work As A Part Of Their 'Re-Education'

15:47
Contract Kids (2012): Forced labour and child abuse were a stable part of Swiss attempt to 're-educate' children considered to be rebellious. For similar stories, see: The Return Of Child Labour (Bolivia) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qa73mj_VX0o Child Labour - Philippines https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yBA5bIeC0n4 The Children Risking Their Lives In Underwater Gold Mines https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P1L_pxYZVwE Subscribe to journeyman for daily uploads: http://www.youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=journeymanpictures For downloads and more information visit: https://www.journeyman.tv/film/5528/contract-kids Like us on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/journeymanpictures Follow us on Twitter: https://twitter.com/JourneymanVOD https://twitter.com/JourneymanNews Follow us on Instagram: https://instagram.com/journeymanpictures Generations of Swiss children lost their childhoods to state-endorsed abuse and forced labour. This shocking report brings us their stories, shedding light on a little-known dark chapter of Swiss history. "Our Switzerland, which always wants to be goodie-goodies, has so many skeletons in its cupboard", Maria Magdalena tells us. Right up until 1981 the Swiss state sent thousands of teenagers like Maria to places like Hindelbank women's prison for 're-education'. Accused of being rebellious or promiscuous they were held indefinitely without trial. "I was beaten for everything", Hugo Zingg, who was a so-called 'contract child' recalls. Of the five children on the farm he was forced to work on, he was the only one not to commit suicide. However, possibly the most shocking story is that of Bernette Gechter. Her strictly religious foster parents took her to a doctor at 7 years old, believing she was sexually active. She was diagnosed with a brain disorder and forced to undergo electro-shock therapy. At 18 when she became pregnant, they aborted the baby and sterilized her because they thought she was unfit to be a mother. The survivors are campaigning for recognition, but the Swiss government still refuses to hold a full investigation or discuss remuneration for the victims. Rehearsal of The Darwin Rondalla - recorded for The National Library of Australia

03:16
The vibrant music and dance heritage of Darwin’s multi cultural community remains as strong today as it did in the 1930’s. In those early years ‘old’ Darwin was a growing commercial hub and cultural melting pot of the Top End and attracted people from the world over, especially from Asia and the Torres Strait. They came with their families to work in the pearling, trochus fishing, live cattle export, construction and mining industries, and their descendants continue to make their mark on Darwin current music and dance culture. Whilst early colonial Darwin sported the usual array of musical societies, choral groups and even a brass band, by far the greatest legacy was the flourishing string band era of the 1930’s and early 40’s before WWII. Born in the Cubillo family ‘big house’ within the diverse, yet close knit Police Paddock community, the early Filipino rondallas (string bands) paved the way for a proliferation of string bands in the 1930’s. Groups such as the Manila String Band, Thursday Island String Band, Joe Ponce Band and the Darwin String Band. The current Darwin Rondalla was formed in 1993 as part of the Gary Lee's play "Keep Him My Heart" and according to Uncle Gabe Hazelbane, a member of the early bands, sounds just like the original. Notes courtesy the Darwin Rondalla's Facebook Page: Thanks must go to Jeff Corfield for his early recordings and research on Darwin music.

Why Did People Vote For Trump?

24:07
Who's Still With Trump? (2016): As the saying goes, 'win Ohio, win the White House'. Once America's industrial heartland, the so-called Rust Belt has been in steady decline for decades. This report explores why some voters are looking to Trump. A report by SBS Dateline. Young, female, and African American would statistically put them firmly in Hillary's camp. But the last 8 years of Democratic leadership have seen their hometown of Akron, Ohio slip deeper into despair. "I'd like us to get back to where our jobs were here, and our education back on top. He actually supports all of that, so he's my guy", says Shonore. It's a similar story in nearby Lorain. Carlos, a Dominican immigrant, is one of tens of thousands left jobless and hopeless after the collapse of the steel industry. "When the economy went bad for the auto industry, for the banks, they all got bailed out... We were like the Titanic, nobody came to help". With his future uncertain, Carlos is another unlikely vote for Trump. Across the border in Waynesburg, Pennsylvania the situation is also dire. Bobby Erjevik lost his job as a teacher due to budget cuts following the closure of the mine. He wasn't the only one, "we've lost 25,000 teachers in 5 years, so we are most definitely in crisis mode", says Missy Wilson. But will the Rust Belt's plight be enough to save Trump? Workers vs KMU

00:52
CALL FOR UNITY AGAINST KMU NAMASUFA-KMU workers strike camps were dispersed by the workers of NAMAMOCO-TYATRU-NSWIU, the legal and authorized service provider of SUMIFRU Amidst the legality and rights of the workers, KMU organized picket lines to the eight packing plants of sumifru thereby stopping the business operation of the packing plants affecting the livelihood of thousands of workers. The said strikes and picket lines of KMU already lasted for 11 days. The collaborative force of the workers of the three cooperatives that are authorized service provider of sumifru dispersed the picket lines and subdue the KMU-exploited NAMASUFA workers. Now, it is high time for us to support and stand with the majority of the workers that KMU is trying to persuade to fight against sumifru that brought them jobs, a decent one- in their continuing battle against KMU's anti-worker efforts, and also in the Filipino workers' plight to have a job that supports their families End all forms of KMU labor abuse. Meanwhile, NAMASUFA is in need of the following: 1. Relief Goods. (Food, Water) 2. Medical Services (Doctors, Nurses, Medical Practitioners) 3. Legal Services (Lawyers, Paralegals) Because KMU is not actually supporting them Condemn KMU’s deception to workers. NAMASUFA workers are also VICTIMS of KMU #StandWithFilipinoWorkers #KMUKontraManggagawa #EndKMUDeceptionNow #LayasKMUSaComVal

8Title: Athletes who failed to take a medal are still happy

01:58
리우 2016: "결과보다 과정" 져도 해맑은 '올림픽 신세대' Now of course all athletes dream of a gold medal, but the founder of the Olympics, Baron Pierre de Coubertin said, "The most important thing in the Olympic Games is not winning but taking part." Our Kim Mok-yeon introduces us to those in Rio who have embraced this spirit. Regardless of the results, athletes nowadays want to enjoy the competition and the spectacle of the Olympic Games. Korean weightlifters Lee Hui-sol and Son Young-hee who failed to take the medal in the women's 75 kilogram match, smiled for the cameras and took a selfie with reporters afterwards. They said they'll have good memories of Rio. Korean Judoka Bak Ji-yun , who injured her leg as she fell to the ground in the first-round match of the women's 63-kilogram event, posted online that she was very happy to have challenged herself. A friendly selfie of North and South Korean gymnasts Hong Un-jong and Lee Eun-ju have shown the world that the Olympic spirit can in fact bring people and even divided countries together. Not only the Korean athletes, but athletes from around the world have approached the Rio Games with a positive mindset. Grenadian silver medalist sprinter Kirani James said he's happy to have run in a historic race after South Africa's Wayde van Niekerk broke Michael Johnson's 17-year-old world record. "I think it was a historic moment. Just seeing him break the world record, I think was very exciting, just to be in that race. Like I said, I'm just happy to be part of that history." New Zealand runner Nikki Hamblin and US runner Abbey D'Agostino have been praised for embodying the Olympic spirit,... having stopped to help each other up after a fall midway through their race. Even though the two finished last, they embraced... and said that they will always remember that precious moment. Kim Mok-yeon, Arirang News. ch 16) A Peoples War

01:45:41
chapter 16: A People's History (Of The United States) Howard Zinn. ~ Chapter 16, "A People's War?", covers World War II, opposition to it, and the effects of the war on the people. Zinn, a veteran of the war himself, notes that "it was the most popular war the US ever fought," [p104] but states that this support may have been manufactured through the institutions of American society. He cites various instances of opposition to fighting (in some cases greater than those during World War I) as proof. Zinn also argues that the US's true intention was not fighting against systematic racism, since the US had this itself, such as with the Jim Crow laws (leading to opposition to the war from African-Americans). Another argument made by Zinn is that the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki were not necessary, as the U.S. government had already known that the Japanese were considering surrender beforehand. Other subjects from WWII covered include Japanese American internment and the bombing of Dresden. The chapter continues into the Cold War, which Zinn writes was used by the U.S. government to increase control over the American people (for instance, eliminating such radical elements as the Communist Party) and at the same time create a state of permanent war, which allowed for the creation of the military-industrial complex. Zinn believes this was possible because both conservatives and liberals willingly worked together in the name of anti-Communism. Also covered is US involvement in the Greek Civil War, the Korean War, Julius and Ethel Rosenberg, and the Marshall Plan.

Interview with William J. Huebner, WWII - Korean veteran. CCSU Veterans History Project.

01:10:40
Interview conducted by Eileen Hurst. Huebner was drafted into the U.S. Army in March of 1943 at the age of 17. He originally signed up with the Army Air Corps, but his vision deteriorated after flight training. He then volunteered for the infantry, and was sent to the South Pacific. He describes the conditions his squad encountered in New Guinea, including both the lack of fresh food and a base camp. He contracted both Dengue Fever and malaria while in New Guinea. Huebner's main job in the South Pacific was to provide security to the radar technicians that would set up portable radar units wherever they could. He fought and received medals in the Philippine, British New Guinea, and Dutch New Guinea liberations. Huebner returned home in December of 1945, but remained in the reserves after the war in order to retain his rank and pension. He returned home and after attending college for a time he began to run the "Harwich Independent", a small newspaper located in Cape Cod. When the Korean War began in 1950, Huebner was recalled into active duty. He was made squad leader and promoted to staff sergeant where he was involved in combat. Huebner was made into a news correspondent for the 3rd infantry division when it was found that he had a background in newspaper writing. It was Huebner's job to generate positive press for the army and act as a liaison for members of the Associated Press and other journalists. Huebner notes that the conditions as correspondent were much better than if he had remained in the infantry. He was sent home in December of 1951 and discharged in 1953. When he returned home he started work as a writer for the "Hartford Times" where he remained for 25 years, and then later worked for the Connecticut Road Builders Associated where he remained for 18 years before retiring. He now lives in Avon, CT where he is a member of the VFW post 3272.

Medication on tap, Fluroide in your water = Health & Maintaince $ - pay it out

01:26
Is Fluoride realy good? Where the Toxicology reports from the factory that produces it? You won't find them ... How do we know? You are paying to drink in while it rots your guts and the city's pipes. Hitler used it in water for prison camps to make the pensioners more passive and brainwashable. Fluoride in your toothpaste and supplement tablets/liquid were never tested for safety before approval. It's all a propaganda campaign to cover up the deaths associated with the Fluoride related industrys by making you think there waste is good for you! Some communities are using importing highly radio active Fluoride from Japan. Put in our water is "Forced Drugging" in violation of medical Informed Consent Laws The average adult here gets about 3-7 times over the safe amount per day just by drinking the water. CleanWaterNow.net www.CleanWaterNow.webs.com It is Neurotoxic and Lowers IQ fluoride hardens up in the brains of animals. Damage to the brain occurs ,the behavior patterns of the animals was adversely effected. Offspring of pregnant animals receiving relatively low doses of fluoride showed permanent effects to the brain which were seen as hyperactivity (ADD-like symptoms). Young animals and adult animals given fluoride experienced the opposite effect -- hypoactivity or sluggishness. Rats drinking only 1 part per million fluoride (NaF) in water had histologic lesions in their brain similar to Alzheimer's disease and dementia, showing significant dangers from low-level fluoride exposure were presented at a recent scientific symposium, Eugenics. Causes Cancer The Fluoride the main ingredient in rat poison. Bone cancer-causing effects of fluoride at low levels . A new study has shown that fluoridation of water is linked to uterine cancer deaths. Fluoride gradually builds up in the bones and causes adverse changes to the bone structure. Quite a few studies have shown that fluoridation leads to increases in hip fractures. Causes Birth Defects & Perinatal Deaths A toxicologist's find perinatal deaths in a fluoridated area was 15% higher than in neighboring non-fluoridated areas +30% higher rate of Down's Syndrome, linked to infant deaths due to fluoridation does not provide any significant cavity-protecting effects. There is scientific evidence that excessive fluoride exposure leads to increased levels of caries. There is no properly-conducted research showing that fluoride supplements help prevent cavities. Fluoride impairs the functioning of the immune system. Toxic fluoride compounds are regularly added to water and given to children since the 1960s and 1970s, who are developing chronic immune system & ADD disorders. Fluoridated water can often cause acute adverse reactions (in addition to the chronic poisoning effects , gastrointestinal symptoms, stomatitis, joint pains, polydipsia, headaches, visual disturbances, muscular weakness, and extreme tiredness. Causes severe skeletal fluorosis at high levels. Chronic, long-term exposure to levels of fluoride commonly found in water and food in the U.S. can cause the beginning stages of skeletal fluorosis including: pains in bones and joints, sensations of burning, pricking, and tingling in the limbs, muscle weakness, chronic fatigue, gastrointestinal disorders, reduced appetite, backache, osteoarthritis, etc. In fact, decades of ingestion of fluoride from water and other common sources can be expected to cause these symptoms. Fluoride is a cumulative poison since it builds up in the body. Few doctors recognize this condition because healthcare practitioners are not trained to do related tests.Fluoride compounds put into water are often contaminated with lead, arsenic and radio nuclides since the fluoride compounds are toxic waste byproducts. Some cause increase in blood lead levels. linked between fluoride exposure and the development of osteoarthritis. The level of exposure that caused osteoarthritis is common in the United States. Fluoride ingestion may be a contributing factor in the development of Repetitive Stress Injury (RSI) since such ingestion may encourage the development of apatite crystals. Elimination of fluoride plus regular supplementation of magnesium & boron ( natural sources are prunes & raisins ) appeared to help RSI patients considerably. Treated water caused dental fluorosis which is a permanent adverse structural change to the teeth. Disrupts the actions of many key enzymes, cell processes & Suppresses Thyroid Function A extremely poisonous substance at exceptionally low doses and has caused a large number of acute poisonings. This is why a poison warning is now required on fluoridated toothpastes. Independent Experts Oppose Dumping Fluoride Into Water Over 1500 EPA professionals unanimously to oppose the fluoridation. Fluoridation amounts to forced medication of the water supply and violates Informed Consent laws doctors are required to follow. www.CleanWaterNow.net

PACIFIC WAR - WikiVidi Documentary

01:50:09
The Pacific War, sometimes called the Asia-Pacific War, was the theater of World War II that was fought in the Pacific and East Asia. It was fought over a vast area that included the Pacific Ocean and islands, the South West Pacific, South-East Asia, and in China . The Second Sino-Japanese War between the Empire of Japan and the Republic of China had been in progress since 7 July 1937, with hostilities dating back as far as 19 September 1931 with the Japanese invasion of Manchuria. However, it is more widely accepted that the Pacific War itself began on 7/8 December 1941, when Japan invaded Thailand and attacked the British possessions of Malaya, Singapore, and Hong Kong as well as the United States military and naval bases in Hawaii, Wake Island, Guam and the Philippines. The Pacific War saw the Allies pitted against the Empire of Japan, the latter briefly aided by Thailand and to a much lesser extent by the Axis allied Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. The war culminated in the atomi... http://www.wikividi.com ____________________________________ Shortcuts to chapters: 00:02:15: Names for the war 00:03:41: Participants 00:06:58: Theaters 00:07:51: Conflict between China and Japan 00:13:32: Tensions between Japan and the West 00:15:25: Japanese preparations 00:19:15: Japanese offensives, 1941–42 00:20:01: Attack on Pearl Harbor 00:22:45: South-East Asian campaigns of 1941–42 00:28:33: Threat to Australia 00:31:28: Allies re-group, 1942–43 00:33:14: Coral Sea and Midway: the turning point 00:40:42: New Guinea and the Solomons 00:41:41: Guadalcanal 00:43:50: Allied advances in New Guinea and the Solomons 00:44:50: China 1942–1943 00:47:12: Burma 1942–1943 00:49:00: Cairo Conference 00:49:27: Allied offensives, 1943–44 00:51:20: Submarine warfare 00:59:03: Japanese counteroffensives in China, 1944 01:01:01: Japanese offensive in India, 1944 01:04:34: The Marianas and the Philippine Sea 01:10:19: Leyte Gulf, 1944 01:20:48: Philippines, 1944–45 01:25:21: Iwo Jima, February 1945 01:29:05: Allied offensives in Burma, 1944–45 01:33:02: Liberation of Borneo 01:34:53: China, 1945 01:37:03: Okinawa 01:38:48: Landings in the Japanese home islands 01:41:03: The Atomic bomb 01:42:42: Soviet invasion of Manchuria 01:44:09: Surrender ____________________________________ Copyright WikiVidi.
