Cisco Connected Mining Cloud Demonstration
Steve Matthews demonstrates how a combination of Cisco industrial technologies and industry leading data analytics software can be used to improve productivity at mine sites. The demonstration shows how telemetry data from a mining truck is analysed and when a puncture in a tyre is detected, a number of actions are initiated including: 1) Alerting a tyre engineer by telephone, IM and SMS (Cisco Voice) 2) A work ticket is created in SAP and issued to the engineer (Cisco CEBT) 3) A collaboration session is created in SAP StreamWorks and Cisco WebEx (Cisco CEBT) We also demonstrate how the same system can be used to provide telemetry and control feedback such as switching on a pump and re-inflating the tyre remotely or if the puncture is serious we can remotely stop the truck. Note, this is a personal video and is not endorsed by Cisco. Opinions expressed are those of the participants and not of Cisco.

Direct Feed Trailer Gets High Productivity in Tight Space - Part 1
1 South Market is a new high-rise residential tower being built in downtown San Jose. As with most projects in downtown settings, this project lacks the real estate to stockpile equipment or materials making the utilization of space vital in the planning of every job task. One of the tasks that Conco had to undertake was to backfill 2,900 tons of crushed rock in three 8-hour days. With the congestion of a busy worksite, there was no margin for error as delays in placing the material would impact other job tasks. In order to do this, Conco brought in its Direct Feed trailer to do the job. The Direct Feed trailer allows a Superdump, Transfer, End Dump or 10-Wheeler to dump directly into the hopper attached to the trailer. Material is then fed from the hopper onto one of Conco's Telebelts. The Telebelt then places the material directly to the point of placement. With this system, there is no need to stockpile material on the jobsite and handle it twice via a loader or bobcat. As the material is discharged directly from the back of a truck, it is also quicker and less labor intensive than using a loader. Reliable Trucking provided the Super Dumps for this project and the job was completed well within the timeframe provided. Once completed, there was minimal cleanup as all the material was dumped directly into the hopper leaving nothing to sweep up in the street.

Robots Break New Ground in Construction Industry
(19 Mar 2018) THE NEWEST MEMBER OF THIS BRICKLAYING CREW IS NOT A MAN OR WOMAN - BUT A ROBOT. SAM, SHORT FOR SEMI-AUTOMATED MASON, CAN LAY AROUND 3,000 BRICKS A DAY – SEVERAL TIMES MORE THAN SOMEONE WORKING BY HAND. THE MASONRY FIRM HELPING TO BUILD THIS NEW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL TURNED TO NEW YORK-BASED CONSTRUCTION ROBOTICS, THE CREATOR OF SAM, BECAUSE IT CAN'T KEEP UP WITH DEMAND. SOUNDBITE (English) Todd Berich, president, Berich Masonry "The drive behind this was to look at some technology to be able to allow me to do more volume and keep my current customers happy by doing more of their work because right now I have to tell them no because we're at capacity." BUILT ROBOTICS IS DEVELOPING TECHNOLOGY THAT ALLOWS HEAVY CONSTRUCTION VEHICLES - LIKE THIS COMPACT TRACK LOADER -- TO DRIVE THEMSELVES. THE SAN FRANCISCO STARTUP WAS FOUNDED BY NOAH READY-CAMPBELL, A FORMER GOOGLE ENGINEER WHO GREW UP WORKING IN HIS DAD'S CONSTRUCTION BUSINESS. HE BELIEVES AUTONOMOUS MACHINES WILL MAKE CONSTRUCTION FASTER, CHEAPER AND SAFER. SOUNDBITE (English) Noah Ready-Campbell, Built Robotics CEO "So if we can reduce the cost of excavation, grading, site prep, then we can actually accomplish more of the work we need to do in this country." THE RISE OF CONSTRUCTION ROBOTS COMES AS THE BUILDING INDUSTRY FACES A SEVERE LABOR SHORTAGE. SOUNDBITE (Soundbite) Mike Moy, Lehigh Hanson, mining plant manager "To get qualified people to handle a loader or a haul truck or even run a plant, they're hard to find right now. Or mechanics to maintain this equipment. Nobody wants to get their hands dirty anymore. They want a nice, clean job in an office." AT THIS MINING PLANT, MIKE MOY USES A DRONE TO SURVEY PILES OF ROCK AND SAND HIS COMPANY SELLS FOR CONSTRUCTION. THE AUTONOMOUS DRONE CAN SURVEY THE ENTIRE 90-ACRE SITE IN 25 MINUTES _ A JOB THAT USED TO TAKE A WHOLE DAY WITH A TRUCK-MOUNTED LASER SYSTEM. THE DRONE IS MADE BY SILICON VALLEY-BASED KESPRY, WHICH CONVERTS THE SURVEY DATA INTO DETAILED 3-D MAPS. SOUNDBITE (English) George Mathew, Kespry CEO "Not only is it safer and faster but you get more data, as much as ten to a hundred times more data." ANALYSTS SAY THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY NEEDS MORE TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATION TO BOOST PRODUCTIVITY, BUILD AFFORDABLE HOUSING AND FIX AGING INFRASTRUCTURE. SOUNDBITE (English) Michael Chui, McKinsey Global Institute, partner "We need all of the robots we can get, plus all of the workers working in order to have economic growth. But what that means is, as machines do some of the work that people used to do, the people have to migrate and transition to other forms of work, which means lots of retraining." BERICH MASONRY WORKERS SPENT SEVERAL WEEKS LEARNING HOW TO OPERATE SAM THE BRICKLAYING ROBOT, WHICH REQUIRES TWO OR THREE PEOPLE TO RUN. SOUNDBITE (English) Zak Podkaminer, Construction Robotics "It's not replacing them. They still have all the masons on this job site that they normally would have. They're just going to be able to get off this job site quicker and get to the next one sooner." HUMANS AND ROBOTS WORKING TOGETHER TO RESHAPE THE CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY. The Third Industrial Revolution: A Radical New Sharing Economy
The global economy is in crisis. The exponential exhaustion of natural resources, declining productivity, slow growth, rising unemployment, and steep inequality, forces us to rethink our economic models. Where do we go from here? In this feature-length documentary, social and economic theorist Jeremy Rifkin lays out a road map to usher in a new economic system. A Third Industrial Revolution is unfolding with the convergence of three pivotal technologies: an ultra-fast 5G communication internet, a renewable energy internet, and a driverless mobility internet, all connected to the Internet of Things embedded across society and the environment. This 21st century smart digital infrastructure is giving rise to a radical new sharing economy that is transforming the way we manage, power and move economic life. But with climate change now ravaging the planet, it needs to happen fast. Change of this magnitude requires political will and a profound ideological shift. Mining Stakeholders Agreed on a Wayforward
South African mining stakeholders agreed to work together in a fight against job losses in the mining industry and also to safe mines from economic downfall. This emerged at the end of the National Mining Consultative Forum on the Framework Agreement for a Sustainable Mining Industry convened by President Jacob Zuma on Tuesday in Pretoria. Representatives from government, business and organised labour says they have recommitted to implement the Declaration signed on 31st August 2015 to save jobs and alleviate the impact of job losses in the mining industry. Addressing a media briefing held at the end of their meeting, the stakeholders emphasised on the need to strengthen the full functionality of Future Forums which have been formed to mitigate the negative impact of downscaling. Furthermore they also agreed on the need to expand economic opportunities in the labour sending areas, and to fast-track economic development and economic diversification projects in mining towns and labour sending areas. Although the meeting took place at a critical time when the global, local economy and the mining industry in particular are confronting major challenges; both role-players says the forum was fruitful, productive and successful in the quest for solutions to challenges facing the mining sector.

Ontario Inspects Forklifts For Safety
A Ministry of Labour health and safety inspector talks about what she looks for during a forklift inspection. McGuinty Government Committed To Eliminating Workplace Injuries Ontario is making workplaces safer by focusing on hazards involving forklifts and lifting devices. Ministry of Labour inspectors will visit industrial workplaces during increased enforcement in February 2010. They will ensure lifting equipment is being: ■Inspected and maintained in good condition ■Operated by well trained employees; and ■Used in a safe work environment. The blitz will be conducted in addition to the ministry's recently announced fall hazards blitz during which inspectors will continue to visit construction sites to check for hazards involving suspended platforms. The blitzes are being conducted as part of the government's Safe At Work Ontario strategy. Keeping more workers safe means increased productivity for Ontario's economy and less strain on the health care system. www.ontario.ca/labour

$2 Million Bathroom
John Stossel investigates a New York City park bathroom that cost $2 million to build. For that price you might expect gold-plated fixtures—but it's just a tiny building with four toilets and two sinks. New York City Parks Commissioner Mitchell Silver says $2 million was a good deal because "New York City is the most expensive place to build." He estimates that future bathrooms will cost more than $3 million. Commissioner Silver argues that this park, on the outskirts of Brooklyn, will get so much use that it must be built to last, and that can be expensive. Yet privately managed Bryant Park, in the middle of Manhattan, gets much more use and its recent bathroom renovation cost just $271,000. Since government spends other people's money, it doesn't need to worry about cost or speed. Every decision is bogged down by time-wasting "public engagement," inflated union wages, and productivity-killing work rules. Two million dollars for a bathroom. That's your government at work.

Robots break new ground in construction industry
(20 Mar 2018) LEADIN: Robots are coming to a construction site near you. Tech startups are developing self-driving bulldozers, survey drones and bricklaying robots to help the construction industry boost productivity and manage a shortage of skilled labour. STORYLINE: The newest member of this bricklaying crew is not a human but a robot. SAM, short for Semi-Automated Mason, can lay around 3,000 bricks a day - several times more than someone working by hand. The masonry firm helping to build this new elementary school turned to New York-based Construction Robotics, the creator of SAM, because it can't keep up with demand. "The drive behind this was to look at some technology to be able to allow me to do more volume and keep my current customers happy by doing more of their work," says Todd Berich, president of Berich Masonry. "Because right now, I have to tell them no, because we're at capacity." Built Robotics is developing technology that allows heavy construction vehicles - like this compact track loader - drive themselves. The San Francisco startup was founded by Noah Ready-Campbell, a former Google engineer who grew up working in his dad's construction business. He believes autonomous machines will make construction faster, cheaper and safer. "If we can reduce the cost of excavation, grading, site prep, then we can actually accomplish more of the work that we need to do in this country," he says. The rise of construction robots comes as the building industry faces a severe labour shortage. "To get qualified people to handle a loader, or a haul truck, or even run a plant, they're hard to find right now. Or mechanics to maintain this equipment," says Mike Moy, assistant plant manager at Lehigh Hanson. "Nobody wants to get their hands dirty anymore. They want the nice, clean job in an office and make lots of money doing that." At this mining plant, Moy uses a drone to survey piles of rock and sand his company sells for construction. The autonomous drone can survey the entire 90-acre site in 25 minutes - a job that used to take a whole day with a truck-mounted laser system. The drone is made by Silicon Valley-based Kespry, which converts the survey data into detailed 3D maps. "Not only is it safer and faster, but you get more data, as much as ten to a hundred times more data," says Kespry CEO George Mathew. Analysts say the construction industry needs more technological innovation to boost productivity, build affordable housing and fix aging infrastructure. "We need all of the robots we can get, plus all the workers working in order to have economic growth," says Michael Chui from McKinsey Global Institute. "But what that means is, as machines start to do some of the work that people used to do, the people have to migrate and transition to other forms of work, which will mean lots of retraining." Berich Masonry workers spent several weeks learning how to operate SAM, the bricklaying robot, which requires two or three people to run. "It's not replacing them," says Zak Podkaminer from Construction Robotics "They still have all the masons on this job site that they normally would have. They're just going to be able to get off this job site quicker and get to the next one sooner." Humans and robots working together to reshape the construction industry. First Impressions of Civilian Employees 1944 US Navy Training Film; World War II
more at http://quickfound.net "Relates why new employees may not like their jobs and the steps used to give them a good first impression of their work." US Navy Training Film MN-1374 US Navy Training Film playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA40407C12E5E35A7 Public domain film from the US National Archives, slightly cropped to remove uneven edges, with the aspect ratio corrected, and one-pass brightness-contrast-color correction & mild video noise reduction applied. The soundtrack was also processed with volume normalization, noise reduction, clipping reduction, and/or equalization (the resulting sound, though not perfect, is far less noisy than the original). http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_home_front_during_World_War_II The United States home front during World War II supported the war effort in many ways, including a wide range of volunteer efforts and submitting to government-managed rationing and price controls. Everyone agreed that the sacrifices were for the national good "for the duration." The labor market changed radically. Peacetime conflicts with respect to race and labor took on a special dimension because of the pressure for national unity. The Hollywood film industry was important for propaganda. Every aspect of life from politics to personal savings changed when put on a wartime footing. This was achieved by tens of millions of workers moving from low to high productivity jobs in industrial centers. Millions of students, retirees, housewives, and unemployed moved into the active labor force. Hours worked increased as leisure activities declined sharply. Most families were allocated 3 US gallons (11 l; 2.5 imp gal) of gasoline a week, which sharply curtailed driving for any purpose. Production of most durable goods, like cars, new housing, vacuum cleaners, and kitchen appliances, was banned until the war ended.[1] Gasoline, meat, and clothing were tightly rationed. In industrial areas housing was in short supply as people doubled up and lived in cramped quarters. Prices and wages were controlled. Americans saved a high portion of their incomes, which led to renewed growth after the war... Labor The unemployment problem ended with the mobilization for war. Out of a labor force of 54 million, unemployment fell in half from 7.7 million in spring 1940 (when the first accurate statistics were compiled) to 3.4 million in fall 1941 and fell in half again to 1.5 million in fall 1942, hitting an all-time low of 700,000 in fall 1944. There was a growing labor shortage in war centers, with sound trucks going street by street begging for people to apply for war jobs. Greater wartime production created millions of new jobs, while the draft reduced the number of young men available for civilian jobs. So great was the demand for labor that millions of retired people, housewives, and students entered the labor force, lured by patriotism and wages. The shortage of grocery clerks caused retailers to convert from service at the counter to self-service. With new shorter women clerks replacing taller men, some stores lowered shelves to 5 feet 8 inches (1.73 m). Before the war most groceries, dry cleaners, drugstores, and department stores offered home delivery service. The labor shortage and gasoline and tire rationing caused most retailers to stop delivery. They found that requiring customers to buy their products in person increased sales...

Doran MTR360 tyre pressure monitoring system for Outback Truckers
Tire blowouts for the world’s toughest truckers are now a thing of the past with LSM Technologies MTR360 TPM System combined with SafetyTrax Web Based Trending, Reporting, Alerting System for Australian Multi combination vehicles. These are the perfect tyre saving device for Outback Truckers. LSM Technologies also have a range of tyre pressure monitors for Caravans, Fifth Wheelers, Motorhomes and motorcycles. One the biggest advantages on top of the labour savings they provide is they can prevent tyre fires from wheel bearing failure. How they do this is by warning the operator there is an overheat problem in a wheel assembly a long time before a tyre fire starts. The system also suits American 18 wheeler units. Increased Safety: Avoids catastrophic tyre failure, tyre fires and potential accidents- especially with the "fast leak" alert warning and tyre temperature monitoring. Also optimum set- point pressures provides better Rig handling, control and braking. Tyre Service Life / Fuel Economy: Maintaining optimum set- point pressures through SafetyTrax monitoring means tyres last longer and optimises fuel economy. Cost downs / Productivity: Checking 32 tyres on a B-Double or 64 tyres on roadtrain would cost at least 2 hours of labour. Using the SafetyTrax Web Based System, tyres that require attention can be identified and targeted for re- pressurisation, saving enormous costs and increased production time. A great bonus for Outback Truckers. Damage Control: Tyre fires, catastrophic failure are enormous costs- not just for the tyres, but also for the rims, the vehicle and also lost time for incident reporting and repairs. Recording / Trending / Alerting: The MTR360 provides the Operator with immediate notification of High Pressure, Low Pressure, Fast leak, High Temperatures so that they can take the appropriate corrective action during operation. With the SafetyTrax Web Based Monitoring, all such alerts are recorded and can be sent via email or SMS. In addition, records of Tyre condition can be provide to site personnel / customers as safety validation. Trending of historical data provides extensive analysis on tyre condition, pressures and temperatures. LSM Technologies MTR360 TPMS and SafetyTrax Systems has the capability to monitoring both Pressures and Temperatures for the Prime-Mover and up to 8 x Trailer / Dolly's with a combination of up to 180 Tyres. LSM Technologies On-line / Web Based SafetyTrax Monitoring / Reporting / Trending System provides live Pressure / Temperature monitoring, recording, reporting and alarm notification capabilities. Stupid Teachers Allergic to Productivity and Technology
The vid examines how MP3 players are a productivity tool that should be utilized by teachers and students. ** Part of Draft Script ** I have often said public school teachers are idiots, so I get criticized by those who rant, All you do is whine, complain, and point fingers but have nothing constructive to say. Although I disagree, I am taking that criticism to heart. In this video, I will be breaking it down to a more concrete level so that even a conceptually-challenged pragmatic educrat can follow along. I recently bought myself an MP3 Player. Nothing special, it is just a 2 GB Creative Zen Mozaic, which I got for about $50. Previously, I have bought four IPods for the girls, but none for me. Consider what would happen if I was a student and took it to a high school, and for this discussion I am focusing on the secondary education level. Teachers hate electronic toys so mine would probably end up confiscated and added to the teachers collection of booty. How is it that teachers do not love such a productivity tool? I submit that it is because the teachers are too stupid to know how to use them. It is not an issue of manipulating the device, but of extracting the productivity lift that the device offers. I have had my player for a few weeks. So far I have listened to about 60 hours of lectures, interviews, and conversations on topics including science, literature, politics, art, philosophy, history, and business. At the moment, my player is full of several years of expert lectures provided by the Stanford Business School. Currently, I am listening to an interview about entrepreneurship with the founder of Facebook, who was a Harvard student when he started his business. My inventory of recent podcasts from the University of Chicago, Columbia, Harvard, Stanford, Wharton, MIT, and University of Virginia is such that I have yet to crack the thousands of book titles available for download checkout from my local library. When I was in school, I would supplement each of my classes with two to five recorded books. Sometimes in preparing for an upcoming semester, I would have already consumed, via audio, texts that would be assigned for the class. All of this productivity increase was from multi-tasking less productive time like commuting or shopping. At the store, I do not complain about waiting for the girls to pick whatever, if I can add value to that time by having Leonard Peikoff in my ear explaining an application of philosophy. An idiot teacher might say, Kids wont do that. Given the option of listening to Shakespeare on the bus ride to and from school instead of reading him at home, kids will not do the former? The same kids who would rather watch the movie than read the play? Really? Imagine if teachers podcasted their lectures. Sick kids would not miss out. Students could replay the material later for better understanding. [Think back to all those kids that wanted to record the lectures back in the day.] Classroom notes could be validated as needed when studying for the exam. Parents could listen to the podcasts so that they could better help the kids with their homework. Students might actually learn more, with the big assumption that there was anything of value in the lecture. An idiot teacher might say, But my little monsters would not do that. First, that teacher should examine what is wrong with them. Second, additional sources of information could be leveraged to bring students requiring remediation up to speed. Third, this provides opportunities for teachers to supplement the learning of their best students to help them get even further ahead. While the class plods through Hamlet, some can supplement by listening to additional plays either by Shakespeare or subsequent writers exploring similar themes.

Beautiful Cut - Mark Polzin

Whether it is mowing in the rain, spring time dethatching, or fall cleanup, the Walker Mower allows Mark Polzin to be a one-man operation while still providing premium service. So I found that looking after the gardens and actually making the grass look better than the neighbors grass was the key thing for gaining more customers. A lot of higher end customers were not happy with big crews that just come in, cut the grass, and go. The biggest thing, was making the grass look better than everyone else’s on the street, in the neighborhood. My name is Mark Polzin, I’m out of Cambridge Ontario Canada, and I have been doing this for eleven years now. My customers got me because they didn’t want a big crew, they have already gone through that, so my business model was to stay small, and the Walker helps because it takes a lot of labor away. I don’t have to have somebody unloading the grass, I just have the Hi-Dump, it dumps right into the back of my truck and my truck dumps, so you don’t really need a lot of people on the property to get the property done. When we have to work in the rain, I have actually had a customer come out and say, “it looks like it has just been cut dry.” Pouring rain, it still looks and cuts like it was dry. A lot of customers were amazed that I was able to cut in the rain. They don’t realize that when you have that vacuum technology (Grass Handling System), it’s still sucking the grass up, it’s still cutting it cleanly and evenly, where the other mowers are not. They are just running it over it, probably only cutting half the grass and it doesn’t look the same when it’s wet. That’s why a lot of companies who don’t have the Walkers don’t cut in the rain because it just doesn’t work very well. The deck is kind of floating, so when you are going over uneven areas the mower will actually tilt up and stay at the same angle as below, so it doesn’t scalp. It works very, very well. You can just see that everything looks nice and even and is cut clean and that is the biggest thing. Everybody wants a clean looking property. Another thing about the design, where the two caster wheels out front don’t matte the grass down and the mower is out front so its cutting before - where the other mowers, the tires are running over it and the mower is trying to cut matted down grass, so it doesn’t do the same as the Walker does, with the front-mount deck. Spring and fall are the probably the best time. I couldn’t even imagine doing these properties without the Walker. With a regular mower, I think it would probably take three-times the amount time. Where I can, just by myself, do a spring cleanup where it would normally take four guys to do, in the same amount of time. Just by blowing everything on the grass, hop on the Walker, suck it all up, box fills up, go to the truck, dump it, come back, I’m done in no time. And it looks amazing, it just looks amazing, spring and fall. Anybody walks by and one place will be cut with just a regular mower, and mine is cut with the Walker Mower and it’s like, “okay, what’s your secret?” It just makes a world of difference, a world of difference.

Ronald Reagan: First Inaugural Address (1 of 3)
Senator Hatfield, Mr. Chief Justice, Mr. President, Vice President Bush, Vice President Mondale, Senator Baker, Speaker O'Neill, Reverend Moomaw, and my fellow citizens. To a few of us here today this is a solemn and most momentous occasion, and yet in the history of our nation it is a commonplace occurrence. The orderly transfer of authority as called for in the Constitution routinely takes place, as it has for almost two centuries, and few of us stop to think how unique we really are. In the eyes of many in the world, this every-four-year ceremony we accept as normal is nothing less than a miracle. Mr. President, I want our fellow citizens to know how much you did to carry on this tradition. By your gracious cooperation in the transition process, you have shown a watching world that we are a united people pledged to maintaining a political system which guarantees individual liberty to a greater degree than any other, and I thank you and your people for all your help in maintaining the continuity which is the bulwark of our republic. The business of our nation goes forward. These United States are confronted with an economic affliction of great proportions. We suffer from the longest and one of the worst sustained inflations in our national history. It distorts our economic decisions, penalizes thrift, and crushes the struggling young and the fixed-income elderly alike. It threatens to shatter the lives of millions of our people. Idle industries have cast workers into unemployment, human misery, and personal indignity. Those who do work are denied a fair return for their labor by a tax system which penalizes successful achievement and keeps us from maintaining full productivity. But great as our tax burden is, it has not kept pace with public spending. For decades we have piled deficit upon deficit, mortgaging our future and our children's future for the temporary convenience of the present. To continue this long trend is to guarantee tremendous social, cultural, political, and economic upheavals. You and I, as individuals, can, by borrowing, live beyond our means, but for only a limited period of time. Why, then, should we think that collectively, as a nation, we're not bound by that same limitation? We must act today in order to preserve tomorrow. And let there be no misunderstanding: We are going to begin to act, beginning today. The economic ills we suffer have come upon us over several decades. They will not go away in days, weeks, or months, but they will go away. They will go away because we as Americans have the capacity now, as we've had in the past, to do whatever needs to be done to preserve this last and greatest bastion of freedom. In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem. From time to time we've been tempted to believe that society has become too complex to be managed by self-rule, that government by an elite group is superior to government for, by, and of the people. Well, if no one among us is capable of governing himself, then who among us has the capacity to govern someone else? All of us together, in and out of government, must bear the burden. The solutions we seek must be equitable, with no one group singled out to pay a higher price. We hear much of special interest groups. Well, our concern must be for a special interest group that has been too long neglected. It knows no sectional boundaries or ethnic and racial divisions, and it crosses political party lines. It is made up of men and women who raise our food, patrol our streets, man our mines and factories, teach our children, keep our homes, and heal us when we're sick--professionals, industrialists, shopkeepers, clerks, cabbies, and truck drivers. They are, in short, "we the people," this breed called Americans. Well, this administration's objective will be a healthy, vigorous, growing economy that provides equal opportunities for all Americans, with no barriers born of bigotry or discrimination. Putting America back to work means putting all Americans back to work. Ending inflation means freeing all Americans from the terror of runaway living costs. All must share in the productive work of this "new beginning," and all must share in the bounty of a revived economy. With the idealism and fair play which are the core of our system and our strength, we can have a strong and prosperous America, at peace with itself and the world. (continued)
