Churchill Mining has the technical momentum to add 50%, says Zak Mir

02:07
Churchill Mining PLC (LON:CHL), the Indonesian-focused coal miner, has technical support to add another 50% onto its current share price, according to chartist Zak Mir. The King of Charts, in a TIP TV segment for Proactive, reckons the stock has the potential to hit 42p, a claim which he says is backed up by the technical analysis. “The 200 day moving average, at 21 pence and rising, are presumably providing some positive momentum for the stock.” He adds that the technical target of 42p is valid while shares remain above 25p.
Zak Mir sees a chance for Providence Resources shares to recover

02:01
Examining the chart for Providence Resources Plc (LON:PLC) technical analyst Zak Mir sees a share price rise to an initial target of around 13p for the Irish oiler. Moreover Mir, aka the King of Charts, predicts the end of the longer term bearish run on Providence is coming to an end, should the share price breakout beyond the initial 13p target. He explains that the Providence chart features a ‘falling wedge reversal’, an indicator that there may be the “start of a decent move” for the share price. Mir also notes that the Providence price has broken above its 50 day moving average, and “while above that I’m quite optimistic there will be a decent turnaround here.” “Maybe it is just the one month rallies that we’ve seen before but this situation here, under 10p, it looks as though the buyers were coming in quite well,” Mir said in a Tips TV segment for Proactive Investors.
Anglo American and Rio Tinto are “bouncing back the strongest”, says chartist

01:56
The self-proclaimed King of Charts Zak Mir says that mining giants Rio Tinto PLC (LON:RIO) and Anglo American PLC (LON:AAL) are leading the industry in terms of recovery since the downturn at the end of last year. Speaking in his latest TIP TV segment for Proactive, Mir claims: “These companies that were hurt the worst in the downturn are now the companies which are bouncing the strongest.” He adds that Anglo shares have consistently outperformed those of Rio since the start of the year, although he's sure that both are on the road to recovery.
Private investors beat the ‘so-called professionals’! Zak Mir tips Anglo American to keep rising

02:28
Fighting to hold back a wry grin Zak Mir says highlights that everyday investors called Anglo American Plc’s (LON:AAL) rally better than the hedge funds – as he highlighted press reports over the weekend of one notable fund losing over £100mln on short trades gone wrong. “Looks like private investors got [Anglo American] more right than the so-called professionals,” Mir said in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors. Mir notes that the Anglo American chart displayed one of his ‘key signals’ earlier this year - as it ‘gapped’ through the 50-day moving average. He adds that the shares are trading in an upwards trend channel, and buying has come in on dips. “We could still get up to £12.50 or £13.00 over the next month or two if the market continues to rise."
San Leon Energy shares are in recovery mode and Zak Mir reckons they can reach 70p

01:23
San Leon Energy Plc’s (LON:SLE) share price has been in recovery mode, according to technical analyst Zak Mir, who reckons the now Nigeria focussed oil can potentially rise as high as 70p. Mir, in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors, said: “San Leon’s chart reflects the recovery mode that the company has been in over the last six months or so.” “For those who are cautious, maybe wait for a break above the 50-day moving average at 45p before getting involved on the long side, but it does look as though the recovery is here for San Leon Energy. San Leon shares currently trade at 41p each.

Chart guru Zak Mir sees potential for a Sirius Minerals rally up to 50p

02:58
Shares in Sirius Minerals Plc (LON:SXX) could advance back towards the highs seen earlier this year, according to chart guru Zak Mir, who says a close back above 35p would be the technical trigger for traders to watch out for. If this ‘buy’ trigger is met the popular resource stock could again rally higher to ‘re-test’ the 50p per share level, he says. The rally would likely happen in the two months following the trigger, Mir added.
Range Resources Ltd shares heading for 0.7p says Zak Mir

01:05
There’s good support in the chart for Range Resources Ltd (LON:RRL), so says technical analyst Zak Mir, who sees the shares rising into 2017. “If you are cautious on the shares maybe wait for the 200-day moving average at 0.41p to break and take the shares up to the top of that rising trend channel up to the 0.7p area for the first quarter of 2017,” Mir said in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors.

88 Energy price could more than double in the coming months, says chart guru Zak Mir

02:33
88 Energy Plc (LON:88E) shares are in an uptrend, highlights chart guru Zak Mir, who reckons the Alaska focussed explorer could more than double in the coming months. Mir, in a TIP TV segment for Proactive Investors, says a rally up as high as 5p could come in the next three to six months. Studying the chart he notes that a ‘golden cross’ trigger preceded a sharp rise in 88 Energy’s share price early in 2016, and it has remained in an uptrend since. That is positive for traders even if they don’t want to know anything else about the chart he says, though he adds that the stock has also broken through the 50 day moving average which is a key momentum signal. “Being above the 200 day line, and while it is above it at 1.9p, you’ve got to be positive [about the share],” Mir said.
SolGold shares aren’t overbought, Zak Mir sees a target of 25p or above

02:12
The SolGold chart gave investors fair warning before the price soared some 425% in the past months. Technical analyst Zak Mir, in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors, says the chart showed a “classic one-two” as the price recovered earlier this year, prior to this summer’s near exponential rise. Despite its sharp ascent Mir says SolGold is not overbought and he reckons the price could keep going, to above 25p or more.
Zak Mir: Gem Diamonds could rally if it posts a weekly close above this price

01:01
Technical analyst Zak Mir says the Gem Diamonds Limited (LON:GEMD) share price needs to post a weekly close above £1 if it wants to rally after its recent “disappointing” run. “[Shares] have had quite a weak run over the last month or so,” explains Mir in the latest Proactive Investors Bulletin Board. “There’s a line of support from November 2015 just below 90p and really while we hold above that one would be looking for at least a rebound towards the 100p former support area. “Really a weekly close above 100p is required to get the stock back in full recovery mode.”

Plenty left in the tank for Sound Energy Plc: TIP TV’s Zak Mir says next stop is 120p

02:40
Sound Energy PLC (LON:SOU) has plenty left in the tank, even after a three-month move that has seen the stock gush 400% higher. That, at least, is chart guru Zak Mir’s take on the gas development group that has enjoyed huge success in Morocco and has a big well coming up in Italy. Mir, who has been following Sound closely now for months, said it has adhered to all the basic rules of technical analysis in its journey so far. “You had the break-out through 20 [pence], which was the first signal. You had a bull flag at in the 30s…I remember talking to somebody about that,” he told host Nick Batsford on the Proactive Investors bulletin board show earlier. “The shares haven’t traded below the 20-day moving average since the beginning of July.” So where does Mir expect the next stop will be? Around the 120p-mark he reckons, which leaves some 40% upside from current levels. He also provides some helpful hints to Sound investors when it comes to setting their stop-loss on the stock. Earlier on Twitter, the company announced ground works had begun ahead of work on the Badile well in Italy. With a net present value of over £400mln, success could move the dial again for this darling of private investors.
Zak Mir says Sound Energy is a ‘star stock’ that can head back to 100p

01:26
Sound Energy has been a ‘star stock’ of the year to date, says technical analyst Zak Mir, who is looking for the share to head back to the recent highs of 100p. Studying the Sound Energy chart, in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors, Mir says: “From July its up from 20p to hitting 100p in September, and it is still consolidating quite well.” The chartist notes the share’s 50 day average is presently around the 83p, and support is at 70p. “… a break above that [moving average], hopefully over the next few days or couple of weeks, and we could at least revisit the highs,” Mir says. “Support is towards the 70p and for people who are not in this particular stock at the moment that would probably be the area to look to go long.”
Don’t touch Gulf Keystone Petroleum says chart guru Zak Mir

01:56
“You wouldn’t really want to be touching that.” Chart guru Zak Mir gives his view on Gulf Keystone Petroleum Limited. Mir, in a Tips TV segment for Proactive Investors, recalls how when Gulf Keystone shares traded at 180p investors were unhappy with him and his call that the price would drop to 10p. “That didn’t go down very well, but that’s exactly what we’ve had. In fact it has gone even lower than that. “It [back then] just looked like a massive topping out formation, and in fact if you look at the fundamentals and where the company is situated in Iraq it is amazing it even lasted that long."
Hurricane Energy Plc share price chart points to 55p says Zak Mir

02:30
Hurricane Energy Plc (LON:HUR) is a favourite of retail investors, and technical analyst Zak Mir is a fan too. Mir, in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors, says the share price - which at around 38p is already up nearly 300% in the year to date – looks like it can go further, up to the 55p level. “It is a retail investor’s favourite, and for me also a charting favourite in the sense that it came up with the right signals and they worked,” the chartist says.
Can Amryt Pharma add 75% to its share price?

01:07
Shares in Amryt Pharma PLC (LON:AMYT) could gain the best part of 75% over the next few months to hit 28p, according to technical analyst Zak Mir. “On the technical front, it looks like there’s a broadening triangle after the gap higher at the beginning of December,” Mir explains in the latest Proactive Investors Bulletin Board. “Support has come in around the 16p area and while we hold that, the top of the triangle at 28p could be the target over the next two to three months.”

RhythmOne shares could rally to 52p says Zak Mir

01:30
Shares in RhythmOne Plc (LON:RTHM), the video search company formerly known as Blinkx, have been recovering and could rise to 52p according to technical analyst Zak Mir. In a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors Mir highlights: “The big turnaround came, basically in May, it is as if the change in name led to a change in fortunes as the shares pushed through the 200-day moving average in June for the last time.” He also notes a golden cross buy signal around the 30p level in July, and says the price has been edging up ever since.
Shire shares may be worth picking up on dips, Zak Mir sees £55 price target

01:34
Technical analyst Zak Mir reckons it may be worth picking up Shire Plc (LON:SHP) shares ‘on dips’ as the chart for the biopharma group is still trending higher, even though a Hillary Clinton presidency could spell bad news for the sector. Shire has, like its drug making peers, been falling in recent weeks and months due to expectations that Democratic nominee Clinton will crack down on drug pricing policy in the US if she becomes president. Mir, in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors, highlights the share’s retreat through September and October, and noted that the 200-day moving average indicates the £44.44 level as a place to potentially buy. He points to an upside target of £55 per share, should this rally materialise.
Amur Minerals is one for the watchlist says Zak Mir

01:46
After a year-long bear market for the junior share Amur Minerals Corporation (LON:AMC) is now one for the watchlist according to technical analyst Zak Mir, though he says there’s still a lot of work for the share to do. Amur, at 2.49p today, is down about 80% from around 12p a year ago and the Russia focussed mine developer is presently working on ways to take the group’s Kun Manie project forward. Mir, in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors, says technically minded traders ought to watch for Amur to move back above the 200-day moving average, which is presently around the 4.7p level.
Drax shares look set to bounce, but not yet - Zak Mir

01:23
The Drax chart has come off the boil, according to technical analyst Zak Mir, but, he reckons the share price may bounce off the 325p level. Mir says the best case scenario would see the price rise to around 400p (current price: 341p).
Vodafone is “amazingly dull” but a rally is possible says Zak Mir

02:01
“It is amazingly dull.” TIP TV’s Zak Mir perfectly sums up what many investors think about Vodafone Plc. Mir, in a segment for Proactive Investors, highlights that Vodafone shares have “basically been sideways for months” and any traders still bothering to pay attention are waiting for a break-out. That said, the technical analyst reckons telecoms share (priced today at 224.3p) has the potential to rally up to around 245p once there it marks a close above the 227p level. “As you can see from the chart there’s a rising trend channel, a mildly rising trend channel, since the end of June. The only excitement there I suppose was the post Brexit vote dip, which was a dip to buy into,” he says. “So, if pushed, one would probably say still the shares are a buy on a dip, rather than anything else. “There’s nothing negative about it. But it looks like dead money compared to the market.”
BooHoo.com shares tipped to finish 2016 strongly by Zak Mir

01:55
There’s definitely been a positive shift in the shares of BooHoo Plc, according to technical analyst Zak Mir. Having rallied from lows of around 40p at the turn of the year the online retailer’s stock could finish 2016 strongly. Mir, in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors, says his ‘best case scenario’ target for BooHoo is 130p before the end of the year.
No surprise Metal Tiger rejected takeover offer, Zak Mir says the share could rally

01:44
Technical analyst Zak Mir says it was not surprising that Metal Tiger turned down a low takeover offer as he reckons the share could possibly rally back to 2.5p. Mir, in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors, described the 1.06p per share offer as bizarre and highlighted that Alex Borelli was a common denominator as chief executive of both Metal Tiger and offeror BMR Group Plc (LON:BMR). “Ahead of this you were probably looking for support for the shares to come in at around the 2p level that was the last low, in March,” the technical analyst said. “So far that’s actually holding, which is interesting in the wake of that rejection of the offer. "The best result, for people in the stock, is that we hold around the 2p level and then rally back towards recent resistance at 2.5p.”

The Ithaca Energy chart features classic bullish signals, Zak Mir says

02:14
Technical analyst Zak Mir says the chart for Ithaca Energy Plc (LON:IAE), which shows the North Sea oil stock’s recovery from 20p to as high as 80p in 2016, feature the signals of a ‘classic bullish situation’. “I suppose the key events here are really the breaking back above the 50-day moving average in February and the 200-day line in April,” he highlights in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors. “Since then, as you normally see in the classic bullish situations, the shares have bounced near or on the 50-day moving average.” Noting the support for the share at around 70p, Mir highlights that using technical analysis can help keep traders in positive situations like this.
Jubilee Platinum’s share chart shows the “dirty work” done, Zak Mir predicts a rally

02:18
Looking at the chart for Jubilee Platinum Plc (LON:JLP) technical analyst Zak Mir says the “dirty work” was done a year ago. He highlights that the share has been consolidating a recovery of late but will in time rally from current levels, around 3.5p, to retest 6p. “Precious metal stocks have been on the front foot in a massive way,” Mir said in a Tips TV segment for Proactive Investors.

Merlin Entertainments set to rally towards 500p says Zak Mir

01:19
Investor sentiments towards Merlin Entertainments Plc (LON:MERL) have been weighed by terrorism and tragedy, though technical analyst Zak Mir reckons the share is in a rising trend and can rise towards 500p in the coming months. Mir, in a Tip TV segment for Proactive Investors, says that support is at around 420p per share, and while Merlin trades above that his price target is valid, albeit he adds that investors may want to wait for a momentum buy signal.

It shares land borders with Scotland to the north and Wales to the west. The Irish Sea lies northwest of England and the Celtic Sea lies to the southwest. England is separated from continental Europe by the North Sea to the east and the English Channel to the south. The country covers five-eighths of the island of Great Britain, which lies in the North Atlantic, and includes over 100 smaller islands, such as the Isles of Scilly and the Isle of Wight. The area now called England was first inhabited by modern humans during the Upper Palaeolithic period, but takes its name from the Angles, a Germanic tribe deriving its name from the Anglia peninsula, who settled during the 5th and 6th centuries. England became a unified state in the 10th century, and since the Age of Discovery, which began during the 15th century, has had a significant cultural and legal impact on the wider world. The English language, the Anglican Church, and English law – the basis for the common law legal systems of many other countries around the world – developed in England, and the country's parliamentary system of government has been widely adopted by other nations. The Industrial Revolution began in 18th-century England, transforming its society into the world's first industrialised nation.England's terrain is chiefly low hills and plains, especially in central and southern England. However, there is upland and mountainous terrain in the north (for example, the Lake District and Pennines) and in the west (for example, Dartmoor and the Shropshire Hills). The capital is London, which has the largest metropolitan area in both the United Kingdom and the European Union. England's population of over 55 million comprises 84% of the population of the United Kingdom, largely concentrated around London, the South East, and conurbations in the Midlands, the North West, the North East, and Yorkshire, which each developed as major industrial regions during the 19th century. The Kingdom of England – which after 1535 included Wales – ceased being a separate sovereign state on 1 May 1707, when the Acts of Union put into effect the terms agreed in the Treaty of Union the previous year, resulting in a political union with the Kingdom of Scotland to create the Kingdom of Great Britain. In 1801, Great Britain was united with the Kingdom of Ireland (through another Act of Union) to become the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland. In 1922 the Irish Free State seceded from the United Kingdom, leading to the latter being renamed the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
