I also want to go over the scary concept that is unconfirmed transactions. If you’ve ever sent bitcoin to another wallet, you’ve probably had the delightful experience of anxiously waiting and constantly refreshing your screen until you see that your transaction has indeed been confirmed by the network. If you’ve ever wondered if there’s anything you can do besides pay a hefty transaction fee to ensure it goes through quickly, I have good news for you. The answer is to check the status of the Mempool. There are many websites that are happy to fill you in on this information. Mempool stands for Memory pool and it refers to the holding area for pending transactions. When you first send out your transaction it is sent into the mempool where it waits to be selected by a miner to include it in the next block. The size of the mempool lets you know generally how many blocks will need to be mined before your transaction is confirmed. If the mempool size is 3MB, you’ll need to wait for three blocks to be mined before your transaction is confirmed. It’s possible that the mempool could become too large with pending transactions; this could cause the nodes to crash. To prevent this from happening the nodes will introduce a minimum fee. If your transaction is waiting in this mempool and the fee paid does not meet this minimum then your transaction will be dropped from the mempool and the balance will be sent back to your wallet. So when the blockchain gets flooded with transactions this can explain at least in part why the fees increase and why transactions take a long time to go through. So if you have time to spare, you can keep an eye on the size of the mempool to see when the number of waiting transactions is down, that’s when your transaction will go through quickly and with much cheaper fees. One thing to keep in mind here about the transaction fees. If you try to send your bitcoin without paying any transaction fee or you pay a very very small transaction fee compared to the average being paid, most likely your transaction will be left unconfirmed for many days, weeks or it may never be confirmed. An unconfirmed transaction means the amount of Bitcoin you’ve tried to send is withdrawn from your balance will not be sent to the destination and your Bitcoin is stuck and will not be returned to your wallet. Your best chance at this point is that there exists a miner who will process your transaction knowing that you did not provide them with a fee payment. Most wallets will calculate a proper transaction fee to ensure that this will not happen. Some will even give you some fee options to choose from depending on how quickly you’d like your transaction to be confirmed. The busier the network, the more transactions that are flooding the network, the higher your transaction fee will need to be to ensure that your transaction doesn’t get tossed aside and stuck in limbo. If you’ve ever been curious about how the Bitcoin network is doing, what kind of profit miners can make, which mining pools are dominating the network, you can check out the many Bitcoin block explorer websites. These are good for finding out all sorts of information about the state of the Bitcoin network. Things like the most recent blocks mined, the number of transactions being included in those blocks, transaction fees, and unconfirmed transactions. This tool isn’t exclusive to Bitcoin either. If you’re interested in learning more about Ethereum, Stellar, EOS or other coins with their respective blockchains you can most likely find links to these options with a simple DuckDuckGo search.

What is BITCOIN SCALABILITY PROBLEM? What does BITCOIN SCALABILITY PROBLEM mean?

What is BITCOIN SCALABILITY PROBLEM? What does BITCOIN SCALABILITY PROBLEM mean? BITCOIN SCALABILITY PROBLEM meaning - BITCOIN SCALABILITY PROBLEM definition - BITCOIN SCALABILITY PROBLEM explanation. SUBSCRIBE to our Google Earth flights channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6UuCPh7GrXznZi0Hz2YQnQ Source: Wikipedia.org article, adapted under https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/3.0/ license. The bitcoin scalability problem refers to the limits on the amount of transactions the bitcoin network can process. It is a consequence of the fact that records (known as blocks) in the bitcoin blockchain are limited in size and frequency. Bitcoin's blocks include the transactions on the bitcoin network.:ch. 2 The transaction processing capacity of the bitcoin network is limited by the average block creation time of 10 minutes and the block size limit. These jointly constrain the network's throughput. The transaction processing capacity maximum is estimated between 3.3 and 7 transactions per second. There are various proposed and activated solutions to address this issue. The one-megabyte limit has created a bottleneck in bitcoin, resulting in increasing transaction fees and delayed processing of transactions that cannot be fit into a block. Various proposals have come forth on how to scale bitcoin, and a contentious debate has resulted. Business Insider in 2017 characterized this debate as an "ideological battle over bitcoin's future." Dealing with scalability problems requires making changes to the technical workings of bitcoin, in a process known as a fork. Forks can be grouped into two types: 1. Hard fork! A hard fork occurs when a blockchain splits into two incompatible separate chains. This is a consequence of the use of two incompatible sets of rules trying to govern the system. For example, Ethereum has hard-forked to "make whole" the investors in The DAO, which had been hacked by exploiting a vulnerability in its code. In 2014 the Nxt community was asked to consider a hard fork that would have led to a rollback of the blockchain records to mitigate the effects of a theft of 50 million NXT from a major cryptocurrency exchange. The hard fork proposal was rejected, and some of the funds were recovered after negotiations and ransom payment. Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold are examples of hard forks of bitcoin. Bitcoin XT and Bitcoin Classic both supported an increase to the maximum block size through a hard fork. Bitcoin Unlimited supports a variable block size limit, which may result in a hard fork. 2. Soft fork! In contrast to a hard fork, a soft fork is a change of rules that creates blocks recognized as valid by the old software, i.e. it is backwards-compatible. A soft fork can also split the network when non-upgraded software creates blocks not considered valid by the new rules. A user-activated soft fork (UASF) is a controversial idea that explores how to perform a blockchain upgrade that is not supported by those who provide the network's hashing power. Segregated Witness is an example of a soft fork. Various proposals for scaling bitcoin have been presented. In 2015, BIP 100 by Jeff Garzik and BIP 101 by Gavin Andresen were introduced. By mid-2015, some developers were supporting a block size limit of as high as eight megabytes. Bitcoin XT was proposed in 2015 to increase the transaction processing capacity of bitcoin by increasing the block size limit. Bitcoin Classic was proposed in 2016 to increase the transaction processing capacity of bitcoin by increasing the block size limit. "The Hong Kong Agreement" was a 2016 agreement of some miners and developers, colloquially termed "The Hong Kong Agreement," that contained a timetable that would see both the activation of the Segregated Witness (SegWit) proposal established in December 2015 by Bitcoin Core developers, and the development of a block size limit increased to 2 MB. However, both timelines were missed. SegWit2x was a proposed hard fork of the cryptocurrency bitcoin. The implementation of Segregated Witness in August 2017 was only the first half of the so-called "New York Agreement" by which those who wanted to increase effective block size by SegWit compromised with those who wanted to increase block size by a hard fork to a larger block size. The second half of SegWit2x involved a hard fork in November 2017 to increase the blocksize to 2 megabytes. On November 8, 2017 the developers of SegWit2x announced that the hard fork planned for around November 16, 2017 was canceled for the time being due to a lack of consensus....

Bitcoin Cash new cryptocurrency explained! Bitcoin August Fork Split

07:41
Please watch: "How Facebook targeted advertisements track you online, offline and where they sell your private data" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9sFl2qGedFQ -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Hi, this is Bitcoin Cash explained video. What is Bitcoin Cash? A new cryptocurrency was created as fork of original Bitcoin. Explaining Bitcoin Cash is like trying to shoot a moving target - there is lot going on in with the new blockchain. At some point, it looked like Bitcoin Cash will crash, but right now it does receive more support from mining pools. After all, everybody who owned bitcoins on August 1st would be rewarded equal amount Bitcoin Cash. That's some extra money for free, right? This video is about Bitcoin Cash explained! Enjoy my bitcoin cash video explanation! Well not so many people were to eager to deal with Bitcoin Cash, which resulted in a state where it was impossible to move it, sell it, or cash for fiat money (e.g. dollars). So what is Bitcoin Cash exactly? What is bitcoin cash? Bitcoin Cash is a fork of Bitcoin. Bitcoin is an open source cryptocurrency that relies on pure mathematics and economics to determine its value. Since the software of Bitcoin is open source, anybody can take it and create their own currency. The real catch here is that it needs to be supported, if you want it to have any value. Bitcoin cash fork a new cryptocurrency Bitcoin Cash was created because some developers and few big mining pools wanted to increase size of Bitcoin blocks from 1 MB to 8 MB. Each block holds a number of transaction, which take up some space of bytes. These are blocks are validated by solving difficult puzzles, for which miners receive rewards (Bitcoins). Bitcoin blocksize limit debate However, the bitcoin's block size limit allowed maximum of 7 transactions a minute. And as Bitcoin grows in number of users, this cap was soon to be hit, which resulted in slow down of confirmations of transactions. Bitcoin growth The limit is made to secure the network and ensure its decentralized nature that prevents big players from gaining control. That wasn't appealing to some people who view Bitcoin's growth as more important than decantralization and security. This dispute over Bitcoin's block size limit was going on for over 2 years and escalated into now forking Bitcoin Cash as a separate cryptocurrency independent from Bitcoin. Both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash exist and trade simultaneously, and they have no direct effects on another. Difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash is now like between Bitcoin and Ethereum, or any other cryptocurrency in the world. What does Bitcoin split to Bitcoin Cash mean in the long run? That's really hard to tell. Bitcoin Cash was made to surpass or even replace original bitcoin, but bitcoin is now growing value, surpassing $3,000 dollar milestone just after the fork of Bitcoin Cash. Bitcoin will implement SegWit, Segregated Witness, to deal with the pressure of its own growth. You'll learn what is segwit in this video. Nevertheless, it's going to be extremely interesting and worthwhile studying cryptocurrency as they keep growing on value, influence, and bitcoin is now even entering mainstream. In the case of the unit name, it is written "bitcoin" and in the case of the peer-to-peer payment system it is written "Bitcoin". The idea was first presented in November 2008 by a person, or a group of people, under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. The source code of the reference implementation was published in 2009. The G20 considers that Bitcoin is a "crypto-active" that does not fulfil the role of a currency. The term "crypto-active" then refers to "virtual assets stored on an electronic medium allowing a community of users accepting them as payment to carry out transactions without having to use legal currency". To create and manage Bitcoins, Bitcoin relies on software. In this software, bitcoins are created according to a protocol that rewards agents who have processed transactionsnote . These agents use their computer computing power to verify, secure and record transactions in a virtual registry, called the blockchain, in French a chain of blocks, a name that comes from the fact that Bitcoin's base entity is called a block, and that the blocks are then linked into a chain, the block chain. For each new block accepted, the verification-security-recording activity, called mining, is remunerated by newly created bitcoins and by the costs of the transactions processed. As currency or commodity, Bitcoins can be exchanged for other currencies or commodities, goods or services. The exchange rate of cryptomonnaise is set mainly on specialised marketplaces and fluctuates according to the law of supply and demand. Bitcoins can be purchased online on specialized platforms. These platforms also make it possible to monitor in real time the evolution of the price of bitcoin against other currencies or crypto. Bitcoin contribution https://ibb.co/gzdvrL

Bitcoin Scaling Explained: Can Bitcoin Cash Scale on Today's Hardware?

21:22
Can bitcoin scale on chain by using bigger blocks? If Bitcoin uses todays hardware can it compete with VISA? TPS - Transactions per second Visa on average handles 2,000 TPS reaching a daily peak of around 4000 TPS. As the Bitcoin Core (BTC) network is now throttled at 1MB it can handle around 3TPS with no working 2nd layer solution. Bitcoin Cash (BCH) can currently handle 100 TPS on-chain without the need for any 2nd solutions. The block size is 32mb for BCH. Ethereum currently handles around 19 TPS. The bitcoin scaling debate has gone on for a long time. It's important to understand the facts. Can the Bitcoin Cash network increase block size further using hardware that exists today? To reach 1,000, 2,000 or even 10,000 TPS? A lot of Bitcoin Core (BTC) supporters will say that scaling on chain with bigger blocks in not a long term solution and we will hit a ceiling because of hardware. Roger Ver takes the time to break all of this down in the video above. Good News for Bitcoin Lover - Miami and UAE are Embracing Bitcoin- cryptocurrency in hindi

For many years, the Bitcoin community and experts within the cryptocurrency sector have debated the fundamental purpose of Bitcoin; whether it should operate more as a store of value or a digital cash system that is capable of processing small transactions with substantially low fees like Visa. As of current, Bitcoin qualifies as both a store of value and a digital cash system. The integration of the Bitcoin Core development team’s transaction malleability and scaling solution Segregated Witness (SegWit) has significantly reduced Blockchain congestion within the Bitcoin network, decreasing the size of the Bitcoin mempool-the holding area for unconfirmed transactions-and the average Bitcoin block size. More to that, less than three percent of Bitcoin’s transactions are SegWit-enabled. As the ratio of SegWit-enabled transaction increase to over 50 percent, Bitcoin transactions will become even cheaper. *My Social Media Links: -Main channel: http://bit.ly/1VwgOLW -Follow me on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/adi.khan.71404 -Like My FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/Adilkhanbiz-... -Join My FaceBook Group :https://www.facebook.com/groups/15484... -Follow me on Tweeter:https://twitter.com/adilk0870 -Follow me On Google Plus :https://plus.google.com/+ADILkhanNetw... ------------------------------------------------ *Contact Me Skype Adilk0870 [email protected] ------------------------------------------------ Thank you for watching This Video Wish You Luck , Adil khan (Adilk0870 - Adil khan)

Everything you need to know about 2020 Bitcoin halving

09:20
HALVING COUNTDOWN: https://www.bitcoinblockhalf.com/ CONTROLLED SUPPLY: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Controlled_supply Because the number of bitcoins created each time a user discovers a new block - the block reward - is halved based on a fixed interval of blocks, and the time it takes on average to discover a block can vary based on mining power and the network difficulty, the exact time when the block reward is halved can vary as well. Consequently, the time the last Bitcoin will be created will also vary, and is subject to speculation based on assumptions. If the mining power had remained constant since the first Bitcoin was mined, the last Bitcoin would have been mined somewhere near October 8th, 2140. Due to the mining power having increased overall over time, as of block 367,500 - assuming mining power remained constant from that block forward - the last Bitcoin will be mined on May 7th, 2140. As it is very difficult to predict how mining power will evolve into the future - i.e. whether technological progress will continue to make hardware faster or whether mining will hit a a technological wall; or whether or not faster methods of SHA2 calculation will be discovered - putting an exact date or even year on this event is difficult. The total number of bitcoins, as mentioned earlier, has an asymptote at 21 million, due to a side-effect of the data structure of the blockchain - specifically the integer storage type of the transaction output, this exact value would have been 20,999,999.9769 bitcoin. Should this technical limitation be adjusted by increasing the size of the field, the total number will still only approach a maximum of 21 million.

This video describe a pure price action using Renko chart to identify BUY and SELL setup in the market. The strategy also gives you exact profit and stop targets. A Renko chart is a type of chart, developed by the Japanese, that is only concerned with price movement; time and volume are not included. It is thought to be named for the Japanese word for bricks. A renko chart is constructed by placing a brick in the next column once the price surpasses the top or bottom of the previous brick by a predefined amount.

TRF runs on its own network unlike 90% of all the others coins. Key Features of Travelflex * Super-fast transactions worldwide and a proper block size. * Physical Travelflex card (usable as a credit/ATM card). * Mobile nodes to keep the network decentralized and faster. * Direct, 100% secure and decentralized chat from wallet to wallet (peer to peer). * Connect to your favorite social media and add your friends to your friendslist. * Near Field Communication (NFC) to see who uses Travelflex around you. * Escrow service over the network. * Giving back to charities through mining. * 24/7 support. * Modern printable Travelflex cheques. VISA can handle on average around 1,700 transactions per second (tps), call it a daily peak rate of 4,000 tps. PayPal, in contrast, handled around 10 million transactions per day for an average of 115 tps in late 2014. Today the Bitcoin network is restricted to a sustained rate of 7 tps due to the bitcoin protocol restricting block sizes to 1MB. Bitcoin – 3 to 4 transactions per second for 1MB, 6 to 8 tps for 2MB (Cost= 2-10 USD+) for 1MB Ethereum – 20 transactions per second (Cost= 0.01-0.1 USD+) Paypal – 193 transactions per second average Iota 500 to 800 transactions per second on average Travelflex will come with its very own physical ATM card that can be used at ATMs. Transactions will only work with your own pincode, so even if you lose your card, no worries, no one else wil be able to use your Travelflex card. Travelers first paid with cash, then there were travelers cheques, and eventually there were payment cards to make financing your trip easier. With the development of better modes of transport and the invention of the airplane, reaching the other side of the world has become even easier. Travelling has evolved in the past years, however, we at Travelflex believe we can take it to a higher level. Travelflex wants to connect the travel industry to blockchain, to make travel financially cheaper and more secure.
Bitcoin Q&A: Scaling, privacy, and protocol ossification

11:57
Can Bitcoin nodes now handle a block size increase? Moore's Law slowing down. What are the main bottlenecks in decentralized open blockchains? Network bandwidth and latency. Bootstrapping new nodes with Initial blockchain downloads (IBDs). What did the last scaling debate demonstrate? What can we include before protocol ossification? Privacy and anonymity should be improved in the first layer; scaling in secondary layers. People have an irrational fear of anonymous money even though we have used cash for much longer than surveilled monetary systems. These questions are from the Seattle 'Internet of Money' tour event, and the December monthly subscriber session, which took place on November 10th and December 15th 2018, respectively. How to position size your trading capital - Crypto Trading Basics

12:42
Today in Crypto Trading Basics I am going over how I personally trade my positions. The way I do this is by having a plan of exactly how much I buy at every Fibonacci point. For example if I would buy 1 at a 0.5 Fibonacci then at 0.618 I would buy 2 and at a 0.786 Fibonacci I would buy 4. I basically double up the lower it goes. By doing exactly this you get a nice average before it most likely bounces, now if it makes a new low of course it's still time to get out because that is very bearish sign. Formula: [Number]/7 + ([Number]/7*2) + ([Number]/7*4) For the number put the amount you're willing to trade with. In my analysis I make use of Fibonacci extensions, Fibonacci retracements, Elliott Wave Theory, Ichimoku Clouds and Algo targets. From Bitcoin To Hedera Hashgraph (Documentary) Hidden Secrets Of Money Episode 8

01:14:26
Bonus Features: http://www.hiddensecretsofmoney.com Today, mankind stands at a crossroads, and the path that humanity chooses may have a greater impact on our freedom and prosperity than any event in history. In 2008 a new technology was introduced that is so important that its destiny, and the destiny of mankind are inextricably linked. It is so powerful that if captured and controlled, it could enslave all of humanity. But if allowed to remain free and flourish - it could foster unimaginable levels of peace and prosperity. It has the power to replace all financial systems globally, to supplant ninety percent of Wall St, and to provide some functions of government. It has no agenda. It's always fair and impartial. It can not be manipulated, subverted, corrupted or cheated. And - it inverts the power structure and places control of one's destiny in the hands of the individual. In the future, when we look back at the 2.6 million-year timeline of human development and the major turning points that led to modern civilization - the creation of farming, the domestication of animals, the invention of the wheel, the harnessing of electricity and the splitting of the atom - the sixty year development of computers, the internet and this new technology will be looked upon as a single event...a turning point that will change the course of human history. It's called Full Consensus Distibuted Ledger Technology, and so far its major use has been for cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin....but its potential goes far, far beyond that. The Crypto Revolution: From Bitcoin to Hashgraph is our latest episode of Hidden Secrets of Money. It’s about the evolution of cryptocurrencies and full consensus distributed ledger technology, and how they will change our world. I believe that this video is by far the easiest way for the average person to gain an understanding of what cryptocurrencies are and how they work, but more importantly, the immense power of full consensus distributed ledger technology and the impact it will have on our daily lives. I have an absolute passion for monetary history and economics, and I love teaching them. Cryptocurrencies are our future, and there is no escaping it… this is the way everything will be done from now on. But, we now stand at a crucial turning point in history. Full consensus ledgers such as Blockchain and Hashgraph have the power to enslave us, or free us… it all depends on how we choose to use them. If we choose to support centralized versions issued by governments and the financial sector we will be granting them more control over our daily lives. Politicians and bureaucrats will be able raise taxes instantly, whenever they want, on every dollar you make as you make them, and every dollar you spend as you spend them. If they think the economy needs stimulating they'll be able to enforce huge negative interest rates, effectively punishing you for not spending everything you earn before you earn it. They'll be able to decide where you can go and where you can’t, what you can buy and what you can’t, and what you can do and whatever they decide you can’t do… and if they don't like you, they can just disconnect you from the monetary system. So, will the monetary system become fully distributed and help to free mankind, or will it be centralized and enslave us? The choice is in front of us right now, and our decisions will create our future. I believe that this will be a binary outcome, there is no middle ground, it will either be one future or the other. The question is, will it be the future we want? Or the future they want? I’m a precious metals dealer and one thing I’ve learned is that gold, silver, and now free market decentralized cryptocurrencies, represent freedom. Because of this knowledge I started investing in crypto currencies long ago and also became one of the first precious metals dealers to accept bitcoin as payment for gold and silver. I would really appreciate it if you could share this video with everyone you know. I think it’s very important that as many people as possible find out about the changes to the global monetary system that are happening right now… nothing will affect us more, and everyone’s future depends on it. Now the Lightning Network is in beta, actively being used and stress tested, questions are being asked about its limitations. Proponents for on-chain scaling have been harsh critics of Lightning, questioning everything from the time it has taken to develop to whether it does solve high fees. Proponents of Lightning often defend it, claiming it is early, and many exciting things are being developed to address these early issues. What is clear is that the Lightning Network has much to prove, and there are risks it will not solve all the issues with scaling and potentially becomes a tool for the Bitcoin rich. Tadge Dryja co-authored the Lightning Network whitepaper with Joseph Poon and worked on the initial implementation. In this interview, we discuss the limitations of the Lightning, why Bitcoin might not be for everyone, alternative scaling ideas, the fee network and inflation.

Full Detailed Review Of Creditbit Crypto Currency

05:54
http://AlphaInvestors.Club - Hey guys! Thanks for joining us here at http://AlphaInvestors.Club where today we will be reviewing CreditBit Crypto currency. What is CreditBit Crypto currency? CreditBit Crypto currency (CRB) was launched in 2015 with the same goal as many altcoins: to provide financial services using blockchain technology. CreditBit Crypto currency was originally developed on a Bitcoin-like blockchain. However, in spring 2017, the cryptocurrency migrated to the Ethereum blockchain. CreditBit Crypto currency wanted to solve one of the big problems facing new altcoins: due to limited block size, altcoin transactions tend to be slower than Bitcoin transactions. With that in mind, the creators of CreditBit Crypto currency advertised the cryptocurrency as being ten times faster than bitcoin. The block generation time for Bitcoin is 10 minutes. Meanwhile, an average CreditBit Crypto currency transaction takes less than 30 seconds, which makes CreditBit Crypto currency the world’s fastest cryptocurrency...tune in for our full review! Bitcoin Debates with Roger Ver

01:02:10
Visit our website https://softwaredaily.com Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are two cryptocurrencies with similar properties. But the supporters of each of these Bitcoin versions have strongly divergent opinions on the direction of the Bitcoin project. At the center of this debate is the subject of block size. Bitcoin’s block size determines how many transactions fit into each block that is mined. A larger block size leads to faster transactions and lower fees, but creates higher demands on mining hardware. A smaller block size leads to a slower on-chain network and higher fees, but allows the full nodes on the network to be run on low performance hardware like Raspberry Pi. Bitcoin Cash has a large block size. Bitcoin Core has a smaller block size. Proponents of the smaller block size argue that Bitcoin’s scaling can be achieved by the off-chain “lightning network” solution. Roger Ver is a Bitcoin entrepreneur and investor. Since he discovered the currency, he has been buying it and evangelizing it. More recently, Roger has become an ardent supporter of Bitcoin Cash–emphasizing that Bitcoin Cash is Bitcoin. In this episode, Roger describes his economic ideology, and explains why Bitcoin is so important to him. We explore how vested interests can shape the narrative and the direction of Bitcoin, and talk about the future of how corporations, governments, and individuals might be using cryptocurrencies. Bitcoin's Price Drops Sending Panic In The Cryptocurrency Market

03:56
Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies were on a magnificent wave of seemingly endless growth this past year. That run came to an end today as Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Litecoin, and other major cryptocurrencies crashed today.. Bitcoin's price dropped 25 percent this week from a high of almost $20,000 to a low of below $12,000. Volatility is a major issue for investors looking to invest and this dip isn't reassuring.. Bull Run . Since the beginning of 2017, Bitcoin's price rose with seemingly no end in sight. On Jan. 1, it's price was listed at almost $997. At its peak, the price rose to just south of $20,000.. As the price slipped this week, investors started selling causing the price to dip below $12,000. Most cryptocurrencies have been experiencing double-digit losses in the last 24 hours.. Many cryptocurrencies saw a huge spike in December, with more investors taking note of the cryptocurrency market. Prices started to tank this week after one of the founders, Emil Oldenburg, of Bitcoin.com announced that he would be selling his stake in bitcoin. Oldenburg criticized bitcoin for high transaction fees. He threw his support behind another cryptocurrency, Bitcoin Cash.. Transaction Woes. Bitcoin Cash was created from a disagreement in the way that Bitcoin handles transaction fees. In the beginning of December, transaction fees cost $6 on average to get a transaction accepted on the Bitcoin network. That fee soared to $26 a couple of weeks ago and reached an average above $50 on Thursday.. Fees are used to speed up the process by which transactions are recorded onto the blockchain. Pending bitcoin transactions are turned into mathematical equations which are then solved by miners. The miner who solves the equation first gets to place the next block on the blockchain, collecting the transaction fees as a reward. Transaction fees help incentivize the miners, who are doing this to release new bitcoins, to include the transaction in the recently mined block.. Drama in how blockchain software was being handled is the cause of the split that led to the birth of Bitcoin Cash. In Bitcoin's blockchain, each block is up to 1 megabyte in size. This limited each block to around 2,000 transactions per block. Each new block is created every 10 minutes. With limited blocks, transactions fees have skyrocketed as users want their transactions to be recorded in the blockchain as quickly as possible. Instead of waiting for change, those frustrated by the system Bitcoin used the founded Bitcoin Cash. Blocks for Bitcoin Cash are 8 megabytes, allowing smaller transactions fees.. Solutions to the problem are slowly trickling out. There's been a recent upgrade called segregated witness, that might almost double the number of transactions. A new payment layer called Lightning is currently being developed. It works by creating payment channels for bitcoin payments that don't need to be individually recorded onto the blockchain. This creates a batch of payments that can

Gavin discusses Validation Sanity. Transactions 101: Metadata (version and locktime), Outputs, Inputs and signatures. How expensive is transaction validation? Step 1: receive: • Typical transaction size ~600 bytes… some optimizations possible (e.g. Schnorr signatures). Global average connection speed: 5Mbps … over 1,000 transactions per second. Step 2: look up inputs: • Must be unspent. Bottleneck is memory lookup. Signature Validation. Signature hashing. Block 364,422. 1.2 GB : wtf? O(n^2) is OK if n is small…What about UTXO growth?
Bitcoin Cash: Big Blocks 'Fail' To Improve User Experience

02:33
The Bitcoin community has leveled new criticism against Bitcoin Cash (BCH) after data reveals its bigger blocks are not living up to developers’ promises.. ‘BIG BLOCKS FAILED’. Analysis of BCH and Bitcoin (BTC) blocks which software advocate Ben Verret uploaded to Twitter Sunday suggests that Bitcoin blocks, despite being smaller, are verifying more transactions than BCH’s ‘big blocks’ approach.. The concept of bigger blocks providing greater scalability was a central feature touted by Bitcoin Cash supporters, including major figures Roger Ver and Jihan Wu.. Bigger Blockchain blocks would allow for more transactions to be processed at once, proponents say, thus giving users considerably faster and cheaper transactions.. Ver himself last month tweeted that Bitcoin Cash’s Blockchain could “easily” handle the combined volume of Bitcoin and Ethereum.. According to Verret and others, however, the format is already failing, as Bitcoin’s smaller blocks are handling more transactions in the same period than Bitcoin Cash’s bigger ones.. “Big blocks failed,” he concluded after presenting results for three, six, twelve-hour and one-day periods.. BITCOIN LOWS ENSNARE BITCOIN CASH, ALTCOIN MARKETS. Despite technical considerations, BCH has nonetheless appreciated considerably in value over the past several weeks, attaining USD highs as BTC fell due to regulatory upheaval in major trading market South Korea.. The latest 24 hours’ trading has delivered more blanket losses, BCH and the major of other major altcoins following BTC as it lost around 6[dot]6% to hit fresh 2018 lows of an average $13,480 per coin.. Ver meanwhile continues to focus on BCH’s use as both a currency and a store of value, echoing similar public comments by Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, who went on record to mainstream media to suggest his altcoin fulfills currency requirements Bitcoin is currently unable to.. Bitcoinist reported last week on rumors this week’s Wall Street bonus distributions would result in a fresh influx of cash into both Bitcoin and altcoin markets.. What do you think about the Bitcoin Cash block size analysis? Let us know in the comments below!.

TRAVELFLEX ATM CARD - Use TRF Cryptocurrency on your global adventures

00:50
Travel with TravelFlex! What is it and why should I use it? Travelflex is a new cryptocurrency that is aiming to solve the scalability issues that other coins like Bitcoin are facing at the moment. By using a complete new DAG based algorithm Travelflex isn’t just a simple clone or a token. The block speed, for example, is 1 block per second, compared to 1 block per 10 min for Bitcoin. It will be a real Proof-of-Work (POW) coin that can be mined and runs on its own network unlike 90% of all the others coins. * A true ASIC resistant decentralized mining Proof-of-Work (POW) coin. GPU mining. Travelflex “Travel Flex” “Travelflex coin” DAG Crypto Cryptocurrency 2018 2019 Blockchain “Blockchain technology” tech technology finance “online payments” payments “digital currency” Bitcoin Litecoin Ethereum token “DAG Coin” Travel travelling adventure adventures “travel money” “Travel Visa” Visa “visa card” mastercard “prepaid visa” “prepaid credit card” experience money cash forex “forex trading” trade ATM fees “no fees” TRF Recently with improvements, let’s imagine the blocksize doubled to 2MB, so the rate also doubled to 14 tps. Daily volume of BTC increased to the mark of January 2018 (2019)

03:30
Despite long bear-market number of BTC operation in a day is increasing. According to data of analytical service transactionfee.info, daily volume for BTC transactions increased to the level that wasn’t observed since January 2018, when the value of first crypto reached insane $20000. Several industry participants believe this to be an indicator of evolution of cryptosystem and its main characteristics. This growth of daily transactions seems rather surprising due to the fact that coin’s value is only dropping. Investors are now selling more for lowering the risks not to lose more of their money. However there are still some who just believe that BTC will once again reach $20k mark in 2019. CEO of cybersecurity company Casa Jameson Lopp had made a post on Medium analyzing fundamental functioning of BTC concluding it in that “system is improving and developing”. During his analysis Lopp was referring to different sources and statistical data of BTC development in 2018. “In last two years there were various improvements of block creation process in Bitcoin Core and as the nodes are getting updated, their effect can be observed. There is also new high-capacity network of miners retranslation,” – he explained in his research. According to Lopp’s opinions, “lower demand for transactions, optimized algorithms commissions evaluation, implementation of segregated witness and stacking transactions had led to more effective use of block space and less competition for this limited asset.” Let’s recall that SegWit was developed with the goal to achieve lower processing and awaiting time of transactions, as well as reducing fees. He also emphasized on the fact that amount of transactions using SegWit has increased for 30%. While average size of transaction became less for 400 bytes from February to 4th quarter of last year. The number of active nodes slightly decreased in comparison to catastrophic drop of the rate in this period, My guess is that Bitcoin nodes owners will remain adamant in their belief in BTC and will use it for their economic goals, so it’s highly unlikely they will close their node due to volatility, stated Lopp. In last couple of years other stats of digital gold have also improved. The study of Canaccord Genuity Group showed that in last 5 years decentralization of BTC has increased and still keeps on going up. This might be another small positive helping step towards waking of the market up. Alongside Bitcoin-ETF (at this point its approval is a matter of time), upgrade of Lightning network and launch of innovational Bakkt the prospects of the space seems rather optimistic. These are mainly the most important events for now highly anticipated by the community which might trigger mass adoption of digital currencies and attract lots of traditional instituationals.

Bitcoin Hardfork Segwit2x - HOW TO DOUBLE YOUR BITCOIN! What Does It Mean for Bitcoin?

10:01
Bitcoin Hardfork Segwit2x - HOW TO DOUBLE YOUR BITCOIN! As two proposals for boosting bitcoin's transaction capacity approach key deadlines, one proposal, known as SegWit2x, has perhaps garnered the most attention. The plan, first proposed in May, quickly won favor among many of bitcoin's startups and mining pools. Yet, it has also emerged as contentious in some quarters, owing to its specific goals and technical construction. But, what's at the heart of the arguments for and against? First, SegWit2x seeks to upgrade bitcoin in two ways: It would enact the long-proposed code optimization Segregated Witness (SegWit), which alters how some data is stored on the network. It would set a timeline for increasing the network's block size to 2MB, up from 1MB today, to be triggered about three months after the SegWit activation. Understanding the ins and outs of the proposal from here can be challenging. While technical, the proposal is also political and philosophical (and some would argue, personal). Still, the specifics of the debate revolve around basic facts about current network design and performance. These include: Bitcoin is currently limited in the number of transactions it can process. Today, it can only process up to 1MB of transactions roughly every 10 minutes. Owing to this limit, transactions take longer to approve during times of heavy use. As all users pay a fee to miners to make transactions, this limitation on space has increased average fee costs. Increasing the block size makes network nodes more costly, as node operators must store the entire copy of the blockchain as computer files. The basics To begin, SegWit2x is not the first proposal for scaling bitcoin's transaction capacity. SegWit2x, though, differs in some key ways. These include: WERBUNG It was not put forward by, nor has it been endorsed by, Bitcoin Core, the network's main open-source developer team. It doesn't introduce new ideas so much as combine those previously proposed by various developers in a new way. As outlined above, these ideas include: SegWit: An optimization proposed by Bitcoin Core developer Pieter Wuille at the end of 2015, SegWit increases the volume of transactions that fit into each block without raising the block size parameter. Specifically, it also removes transaction malleability, an issue that once resolved could lead to a number of network improvements. You can read more about the technical specifics here and here. A block size increase: The change, long-proposed as a scaling solution, simply involves updating the software rules to allow for 2MB blocks. A few alternative bitcoin implementations (Bitcoin XT, Bitcoin Classic and Bitcoin Unlimited) emerged with the goal of increasing bitcoin's block size parameter. But none have yet reached the necessary threshold of support. SegWit was officially released last November, giving network users the option to run it. But, for technical reasons, it required mining pools to activate the change, and they have been hesitant to adopt the change for a variety of reasons. SegWit2x is being deployed in its testnet to all working group members on July 14, and the period for live adoption starts on July 21, with an August 1 deadline for necessary support to avoid issues. Top 5 Reasons You Should Buy Ethereum

04:40
Today we're going discuss the Top 5 reasons why I believe you should buy Ethereum: 5. Brand Recognition Ask the average person what Bitcoin is and most still have no idea. Ask them for an alternative to Bitcoin and you'll confuse them even more. People just don't know much about crpytocurrency, we are still in its early adoption stage, and that's why any sort of brand recognition in today's emerging crypto market is vital. Ethereum or Ether for short is proving to be amongst the most popular and recognizable alternatives to Bitcoin. Their sleek logo and slick name stand out. 4. Market Cap Size They say numbers don't lie and while that may not always be true it certainly supports our case. Ethereum is one if not the most comparable alternative to Bitcoin currently holding the #2 position in overall market capitalization size with an estimated value of about $4.2 billion dollars. 3. Scalability and Capacity One of the major arguments surrounding the Bitcoin community is its transaction capacity. Bitcoin transaction takes long, sometimes over 10 minutes. A clever workaround to this problem called Segwit is being proposed which will increase the block chain size from 1MB to 2MB. But many in the Bitcoin community still disagree with Segwit and as a result Bitcoin's price plummeted from about $1200 to under $1000 last month. Bitcoin has since recovered from its March crash but the capacity debate has not been resolved. Ethereum has no such a problem. Transactions take about 2 minutes. Their system is built to scale. 2. Smart Contracts Ethereum isn't really a crypto currency as it is a virtual machine and its ability to run smart contracts without the possibility of downtime censorship or third party interference is one of its main attractions. There's a growing number of apps using the Ehtereum platform like Golem a global open sourced decentralized supercomputer, sort of Uber for computers where anyone can make money renting out their computing power, or Augur, a decentralized predictive network where user can get rewarded for accurately predicting the outcome of real world events and earn real money trading profits. Think of Ethereum as the gas running these smart contracts. Augur is not yet fully functional as its currently only in its beta stage yet its trading currency REP is already trading over $10 and is top ten as far as market capitalization size. Expect Augur and subsequently Ethereum to rise in price once Augur is officially released. 1. Price The price of Ethereum shot from about $15 to over $50 this past March before taking a small dive and settling at its current price of about $44. The sharp spike in price was most likely due to speculators looking to invest in an alternative cryptocurrency after Bitcoin crashed. But notice that after that crash, when Bitcoin's price rose back up, Ethereum's price didn't decrease very much at all, in fact, its price remained in the low $40 range. Prediction My prediction is that over the next year to year and a half, Ethereum's price could behave as DASH coin did recently and jump to $100 before dipping back down to around $70 or $80. There's yet to be an alternative coin to maintain a steady price over $100 but don't be surprised if Ethereum overcomes DASH in price, continues to climb, and eventually levels out at a price of about $100 by late 2018.

Bitcoin The Halving - Cryptoart Time Lapse Video

09:55
"The Halving" was created by artist Christina Hess in celebration of the upcoming Bitcoin Halving. "The Halvening" is an event that occurs approximately every four years and signifies a reduction in the rate of new Bitcoin being released. Sometime in July of 2016, the amount of bitcoin that is released in each new block will drop from 25 to 12.5. Since new blocks are generated on average every ten minutes, this represents a significant reduction in the dilutive effect of new bitcoin. 75% of all bitcoin that will ever be created will be released by this point. The central element of this art piece is a rendition of the tally stick -- an ancient device used to record debts between two parties. A stick was marked to signify the debt between two parties, then broken and given to each party. The larger part was given to the creditor and the short end given to the debtor. Similar to the private-key to public-key relationship of cryptography, only one pair could be combined to verify the debt. In this regard, tally sticks represent sound money by not contributing to fractional reserve banking. More art at cryptoart.com.

LTC/USD Gains after Abra CEO Explained Reasons for Switching to Litecoin

02:48
It’s https://www.investdiva.com/ ‘s Kiana with News BTC and here is your cryptocurrency update. The cryptocurrency market finally saw some love on Tuesday, with Litecoin leading the way. Litecoin saw a 15% gain following days of consolidation around the 118 support level. It briefly tested the 137 resistance level before pulling back a bit towards the end of the trading day. This level is important because it has acted as a support level twice before, once on March 18th, and once before that on January 11th. While the general bullish sentiment in the cryptocurrency market helped Litecoin advances, the reason why it became the winner of the crowd could be due to a Reddit Ask Me Anything session with Abra, a high-profile crypto startup backed by American Express. During the session, Bill Barhydt, CEO of Abra, explained his reasons for switching to Litecoin for smart contracts. He said Abra has gone with Litecoin as the second asset class, after bitcoin, for their smart contract investing solution for 3 primary reasons: First, its commitment to bitcoin compatibility. Second, because of its slightly better scalability than bitcoin in terms of block size and block times. And finally due to its mining fees which are primarily a function of #2 although this is more of a short-term benefit. He expects mining fees to skyrocket if Abra successful. Abra has raised $40 million in funding so far, including an undisclosed amount from American Express, Fidelity's venture capital arm, and Foxconn, the Asian manufacturer of parts for Apple. It also recently expanded its offering from bitcoin and Ethereum to its current suite of 70 crypto and fiat currencies earlier this month. If Litecoin is able to continue its new bullish sentiment, we could see a potential Double Bottom reversal chart pattern which could take the digital currency back up to the 50% Fibonacci retracement level and February high of $250. Thanks for watching, invest responsibly, and I’ll see you with more updates tomorrow.

It run on its own network unlike 90% of all the others coins. * PoS on DAG. You can stake rewards by blocking nodes and masternodes * Escrow service over the network. * Giving back to charities. * 24/7 support. * Modern printable Travelflex cheques. Transaction speed VISA can handle on average around 1,700 transactions per second (tps), call it a daily peak rate of 4,000 tps. PayPal, in contrast, handled around 10 million transactions per day for an average of 115 tps in late 2014. Today the Bitcoin network is restricted to a sustained rate of 7 tps due to the bitcoin protocol restricting block sizes to 1MB.
