The Crypto Dad shows you how download and verify the Armory bitcoin wallet. Important software used is: Bitcoin Armory Home page: https://btcarmory.com/ Software verification is done with: GnuPG https://gnupg.org/ Specifically the Windows version: https://www.gpg4win.org/ MD5 & SHA Checksum Utility https://raylin.wordpress.com/downloads/md5-sha-1-checksum-utility/ Donate Bitcoin: 1JBxwXG8P6PYKKsrHKzQduM8s8RoV3dnjr What is Bitcoin? Bitcoin is a new technology that functions as a digital currency. It is a peer-based, decentralized way to hold, store, send, and receive value. It does this by maintaining a cryptographic “ledger” called the Blockchain. All of the bitcoins in existence are created and stored on the Blockchain. Bitcoin with a capital “B” refers to the technology itself. Bitcoin spelled with a little “b” refers to the tokens that hold the value and can be exchanged with others. Multiple copies of the Blockchain exist on thousands if not millions of computers worldwide. Each copy of the Blockchain “verifies” itself by connecting to the Internet and making sure it has the most up-to-date list of transactions. The Blockchain maintains its integrity by using strong, modern, encryption techniques. This makes it impossible for anyone to alter the ledger, create fake transaction or “double-spend” their bitcoins. Bitcoins do not require banks or third-party financial services to act as central clearing houses for electronic transfers. In essence, Bitcoin technology “cuts out the middleman”. Bitcoin is a decentralized, peer-to-peer monetary system that exists outside of the traditional, centralized, fiat-currency based financial system. Is Bitcoin money? Good question! The short answer is yes! But the long answer requires that we talk a little about what “money” is or what it should be. Money is basically an idea. It is a system that we can all agree upon which allows us to exchange value, so we do not have to carry around cows or chickens with us to trade for the things we need. An ideal money or “currency” should have the following properties: Portable Fungible (interchangeability) Dividable Durable Cognizable (easily identified) Stable Does Bitcoin fit the bill? Well it’s certainly portable. It is all digital. It weighs nothing (unlike gold which can be heavy and bulky in large amounts. For that matter, traditional paper currencies can also become heavy and bulky in large amounts!). It can be sent across the room or around the world with the same ease and comfort. You can carry it on a piece of paper, a laptop, or even your smart phone. It is Fungible. Every bitcoin is like every other bitcoin (unlike shells, beads, and traditional precious metal coins which can be “shaved” or diluted in purity) It is dividable. It is actually one of the most dividable currencies ever conceived! It is possible to spend small fractions of bitcoins and no need exists to make change. When was the last time you were able to spend 1/8 of a penny? Bitcoin is durable. It is protected by strong encryption and the Blockchain exists in thousands if not millions of locations simultaneously. You would literally have to delete the blockchain from every computer and smart phone in the world to destroy a bitcoin. Bitcoin is cognizable or easily recognized. It’s based on math. No one can dispute a number or deny that 1 + 1 =2. People are just beginning to understand what Bitcoin is. There is a bit of a learning curve. But once you are familiar with it, you will know it when you see it. Is Bitcoin stable? Well the current value of a bitcoin has been quite volatile lately in relation to other traditional currencies. But the Bitcoin plan calls for the creation of only 21 million bitcoins. In this way, Bitcoin will try to avoid the pitfalls of modern fiat currencies such as inflation, deflation, market manipulation, monetary policy, quantitative easing, and other central manipulations that effect the day-to-day value of the money we use.

[HOW TO]- Store Bitcoin On USB Stick - Guide

14:01
In this video I'll show you how to make a secure and encrypted USB Bitcoin Wallet. I'm going to use MultiBit to create this wallet and then store it onto a USB thumb drive for safe keeping. I'm also going to copy the contents of the USB drive onto multiple other USB drives so that my money is backed up in multiple locations. This way, if anything happens to one of my USB wallets, I can fall back on a copy that I made, and recover the bitcoins (BTC). Even though there are copies of my wallet files, they will all be updated to the real balance if any one of them is modified. This is because the private keys, once accessed with your password or pass phrase, within the Bitcoin network ultimately keep track of the money associated with them. This is why we can create this wallet offline, and allow the network to synchronize and verify that the funds that are supposed to be in our wallet appear. If necessary, we can send the funds from the USB stick to another wallet, either Online, Cloud, or Offline cold storage. Thanks for watching! What is a Bitcoin?

http://bitcoinpoet.com Bitcoin is a software-based payment system described by Satoshi Nakamoto in 2008 and introduced as open-source software in 2009. Payments are recorded in a public ledger using its own unit of account which is also called bitcoin. Payments work peer-to-peer without a central repository or single administrator, which has led the US Treasury to call bitcoin a decentralized virtual currency. Although its status as a currency is disputed, media reports often refer to bitcoin as a cryptocurrency or digital currency. https://www.facebook.com/bitcoinpoet/?fref=ts https://twitter.com/bitcoinpoet 1PunzPMHHdvi61Er6kbnjRQpbgr3mS7zJK #bitcoin #bitcoins #bitcoinnews #bitcoinmining #BitcoinBillionaire #bitcoinprice #bitcointechnology #bitcoinacceptedhere #bitcoincharts #bitcoiner #bitcoinsallday #bitcoinph #bitcoinguru #bitcoinagile #surbitcoin #bitcoinvalue #bitcointrading #bitcoinmanagement #bitcoinprogress #bitcoinpoet bitcoin atm bitcoin auction bitcoin address bitcoin atm new york bitcoin asic bitcoin api bitcoin average bitcoin arbitrage bitcoin armory bitcoin atm nyc bitcoin asic miner bitcoin asic usb miner bitcoin antminer bitcoin aocs bitcoin algorithm bitcoin and digital currency for beginners the basic little guide bitcoin asic th bitcoin as payment bitcoin asic usb bitcoin asic chips bitcoin account bitcoin atm locations bitcoin auto trading bot for btc e crypt bitcoin andreas antonopoulos bitcoin andreas bitcoin alternatives bitcoin arrest bitcoin bankruptcy bitcoin buy bitcoin block chain bitcoin bubble bitcoin bank bitcoin block explorer bitcoin baby bitcoin buy and sell bitcoin buying bitcoin brokers bitcoin and digital currency for beginners the basic little guide (money internet marketing business personal finance investments stocks) bitcoin alert bitcoin a dummie's guide to virtual currency bitcoin and digital currency for beginners the basic little guide money internet marketing business personal finance investments stocks bitcoin alarm bitcoin blockchain bitcoin bloomberg bitcoin blog bitcoin betting bitcoin block bitcoin bowl bitcoin baron bitcoin beezy bitcoin beltway bitcoin basics bitcoin bot bitcoin beezy mursday bitcoin beginner bitcoin blockchain explained bitcoin blizzard bitcoin bible bitcoin blogs bitcoin block erupter bitcoin book bitcoin btc bitcoin blade bitcoin big bang bitcoin butterfly bitcoin charts bitcoin calculator bitcoin center nyc bitcoin conversion bitcoin center bitcoin china bitcoin coinbase bitcoin core bitcoin casino bitcoin currency bitcoin balance bitcoin buzz feeds bitcoin bud bitcoin crash bitcoin ceo arrested after suicide attempt bitcoin converter bitcoin current price bitcoin current value bitcoin chart today bitcoin ceo bitcoin coin bitcoin contract bitcoin card bitcoin case bitcoin cube bitcoin casinos bitcoin commemorative coin bitcoin cloud mining bitcoin conspiracy bitcoin channel bitcoin cold storage bitcoin conference bitcoin conference 2014 bitcoin core wallet tutorial bitcoin computer bitcoin cufflinks bitcoin difficulty bitcoin definition bitcoin documentary bitcoin debit card bitcoin derivatives bitcoin download bitcoin dollar exchange rate bitcoin dollar bitcoin dice bitcoin directory bitcoin chart bitcoin checker bitcoin difficulty graph bitcoin donations bitcoin difficulty calculator bitcoin death bitcoin digital currency bitcoin difficulty history bitcoin difficulty chart bitcoin dollar exchange bitcoin debate bitcoin documentary - the rise and rise of bitcoin bitcoin dogecoin bitcoin difficulty explained bitcoin double spend bitcoin documentary 2014 bitcoin development bitcoin developer bitcoin decal bitcoin data miner bitcoin decoded bitcoin dragon bitcoin dualminer usb bitcoin devon bitcoin dashboard bitcoin de bitcoin dashclock bitcoin detective bitcoin exchange bitcoin exchange rate bitcoin etf bitcoin explained bitcoin exchange rate chart bitcoin escrow bitcoin ebay bitcoin exchange nyc bitcoin exchanges by volume bitcoin events bitcoin exchange rate history bitcoin exchanges bitcoin exchange service bitcoin exchange calculator bitcoin exchanges list bitcoin exchange rate historical bitcoin explained simply bitcoin erupter bitcoin exposed bitcoin ebook bitcoin erotica bitcoin foundation bitcoin faucet bitcoin forum bitcoin founder bitcoin for dummies bitcoin fog bitcoin future bitcoin faq bitcoin farming bitcoin free bitcoin founder arrested bitcoin for sale bitcoin founder dead bitcoin fraud bitcoin eşten-eşe nakit ödeme sistemi bitcoin exchange rates bitcoin earn bitcoin essentials bitcoin faucet bot bitcoin for beginners bitcoin farm bitcoin for beginners - learn how to mine bitcoin - part 2 bitcoin future value bitcoin for the befuddled bitcoin fpga bitcoin for idiots bitcoin faucets bitcoin funktionsweise risiken und chancen der digitalen währung bitcoin finder

They come in different forms, designed for different types of device. You can even use paper storage to avoid having them on a computer at all. Of course, it is very important to secure and back up your bitcoin wallet. Bitcoins are a modern equivalent of cash and, every day, another merchant starts accepting them as payment. We know how they are generated and how a bitcoin transaction works, but how are they stored? We store fiat cash in a physical wallet, and bitcoin works in a similar way, except it's normally digital. Well, to be absolutely accurate, you don't technically store bitcoins anywhere. What you store are the secure digital keys used to access your public bitcoin addresses and sign transactions. This information is stored in a bitcoin wallet. Bitcoin wallets come in a variety of forms. There are five main types of wallet: desktop, mobile, web, paper and hardware. Here’s how they work. Desktop wallets : If you have already installed the original bitcoin client (Bitcoin Core), then you are running a wallet, but may not even know it. In addition to relaying transactions on the network, this software also enables you to create a bitcoin address for sending and receiving the virtual currency, and to store the private key for it. Mobile wallets: Desktop-based wallets are all very well, but they aren't very useful if you are out on the street, trying to pay for something in a physical store. This is where a mobile wallet comes in handy. Running as an app on your smartphone, the wallet can store the private keys for your bitcoin addresses, and enable you to pay for things directly with your phone. Online wallets: Web-based wallets store your private keys online, on a computer controlled by someone else and connected to the Internet. Several such online services are available, and some of them link to mobile and desktop wallets, replicating your addresses between different devices that you own. Hardware wallets: Hardware wallets are currently very limited in number. These are dedicated devices that can hold private keys electronically and facilitate payments. Paper wallets: One of the most popular and cheapest options for keeping your bitcoins safe is something called a paper wallet. There are several sites offering paper bitcoin wallet services. They will generate a bitcoin address for you and create an image containing two QR codes: one is the public address that you can use to receive bitcoins; the other is the private key, which you can use to spend bitcoins stored at that address. The Different Types of Crypto Wallets

14:37
In response to ash368 here is my roundup of the many different types of crypto wallet. I try and give an outline of the main types along with the pros and cons of each type. As always feel free to ask any questions in the comments below. Online Wallets An online wallet is a cryptocurrency wallet that you access via your web browser. They are the easiest type of wallet to create, however in most situations you don't control your private keys, although there are exceptions. In this discussion I'm going to also lump exchanges in with online wallets. There are also incredibly attractive to hackers and they work much harder to get money from them. It happens, you’ve been warned. Just look at the Mt Gox hack. Advantages: - Ideal for holding small amounts of cryptocurrency for trading - Some are able to manage multiple cryptocurrencies, transfer amounts between them, or be directly integrated into an exchange Disadvantages: - Users are susceptible to phishing scams, malware, insider hacking, DDOS attacks, and outdated security measures - Your wallet is "out of your hands" and coin information is stored on a third-party - Your computer is open to malware, keyloggers, and viruses. Examples: Exchanges like Bittrex or Poloniex, and online wallets like MyEtherWallet.com and MyMonero.com. Software Wallets A software wallet is considered somewhat more secure than online wallets, however that depends on your commitment to online security. You have to download a software wallet onto your desktop or mobile and in the case of QT wallets completely download and sync the blockchain which can often take a long time, although there are light wallets like electrum which don't require you to download the blockchain. In cases where you use an old laptop, completely offline, on a clean operating system install – you could consider this a really effective cold storage method. Like phones, a lot of people have an older laptop floating around and this could be a great use for it. Advantages: - Generally fairly easy to use - Private keys not stored on a third-party server - TOR network or VPN can be used for more privacy Disadvantages: - If connected to the internet there are security and privacy caveats - If you forget to back it up and your HD fails you'll lose your coins - Your computer is open to malware, keyloggers, and viruses Examples: Exodus, Bitcoin Core, Any QT wallet for desktop or stuff like Copay and MyCelieum on mobile. Hardware Wallets Hardware wallets are a perfect solution for long term cold storage of large amounts of cryptos which you don't need day-to-day access to. There are also very secure. Advantages: - If it has a screen, it’s the most secure way to store crypto long-term - Stronger security than all other wallets, for the most part Disadvantages: - Cumbersome for some beginners to use, but an absolute must for large quantities of cryptocurrencies - Often sold out, but if you perservere you'll get one Examples: Ledger, Trezor and KeepKey are really great solutions. Paper Wallets Before there were hardware wallets, paper wallets were the defacto standard for cold storage of cryptocurrencies. They consist of a private key and a bitcoin address, often with QR codes for easy import. Advantages: - One of the most hacker-proof crypto wallet choices - Not stored on a computer - Private keys not stored on a third party server Disadvantages: - More effort required to move cryptocurrencies around - More technical understand required Examples: BitAddress.org and Bitcoin Armory can help you create and print your paper wallet. Investment research and cryptocurrency security company Armory Technologies has extended its ongoing donation drive in honor of Hal Finney, a pioneer in the world of digital currency who lost his battle with ALS recently at the age of 58. Armory has announced that it will match up to 10 bitcoins in donations made to the Hal Finney Bitcoin Fund for ALS Research. Online gold investment and exchange firm Digital Tangible has announced the official launch of its crypto 2.0-powered marketplace for gold and bitcoin traders. The new protocol will issue tokens representing physical gold and attach them to bitcoin addresses, allowing traders to move between gold and bitcoin. The University of Zurich, the leading research university in Switzerland, has begun accepting bitcoin in one of its cafeterias through a student-developed payments solution called CoinBlesk. The system can process bitcoin transactions in less than a second via two-way near-field communication technology. Students can load their CoinBlesk apps with bitcoin they have purchased online or from the BitAccess ATM installed near the cafeteria. Indonesian citizens can now purchase and receive bitcoin at over 10,000 convenience stores located all throughout the country. The feat is being accomplished through Bitcoin Indonesia, in partnership with Ipaymu, Indonesia's payment processor for digital currency. Users of the system will first need to create an account with bitcoin.co.id, a bitcoin sell and purchase site, where they are then provided with a code to take to their nearest convenience store. Here, they can purchase bitcoin with cash where they will later find funds waiting for them in their online accounts. According to the World Bank's Financial Inclusion Data, only about 15% of citizens age 15 or older have accounts with formal banking institutions. This leaves about 200 million unbanked people alone, but the project is looking to change this and expand bitcoin's popularity among residents. As Bitcoin Indonesia co-founder Oscar Darmawan explains, "My target is to raise the value of bitcoin transactions in Indonesia from Rp 2 billion per month to Rp 2 billion per day." Credit card reader provider Square has launched a new version of its Cash app, a free application that allows users to send and request money. Version 2.0 adds the ability to send or request money to and from anyone in a text message or an email, even if the recipent doesn't have the app. The Cash app also provides anyone the ability to request money from up 25 people at the same time, making splitting the bill that much easier. The 2.0 update also allows users to import their address book, build a profile with pictures, and enable push notifications. As the company's press release states "The majority of people who use Cash receive funds in their bank account within minutes - ready to spend - with no fees, or the inconvenience of a secondary account balance. " The Cash app is free to use, and free to download from the Google Play or Apple App Store. India-based company FreeCharge, which helps users to load their prepaid phone plans or pay utility bills and rewards them with coupons, has announced a successful Series B funding round of $33 million dollars from investors Sequoia Capital, Sofnia, and Ru-Net. The new funds will be used for company marketing and to expand their offline-to-online advertising system, which enables companies to track their user's offline purchasing habits with FreeCharge's coupons. First founded in 2010, FreeCharge currently boasts about 10 million registered users.

It contains a swiss army knife of handy Bitcoin tools that support a wide range of usage models, including a few very secure ones which would otherwise be difficult to perform. The system boots into one of the three available modes: "cold-offline" - for creating a wallet and signing transactions; "cold-online" - for watching the wallet and preparing transactions; "hot-online" - standard usage but less secure as the private keys are known to the computer which is connected to the internet. BitKey also provides tools for generating "brainwallets", for the most paranoid of Bitcoin users. 28:24
Guys in this video I have demonstrated how you can create a 256bit AES encrypted USB flash drive to store your offline wallets inside the encrypted USB on a airgapped computer . Please follow me on steemit : https://steemit.com/@avme The two offline cryptocurrency wallets i talked about in this video are as follow. The first one is myetherwallet which can be downloaded from https://www.myetherwallet.com .This wallet is good when dealing with ether. Second wallet is for Bitcoin which is Electrum which can be downloaded from https://electrum.org/#home. There is a good video about electrum wallet to use it offline which I have found on youtube : https://youtu.be/DQumISxkJsQ Both of the wallets can be used as online wallets but this video is about using them offline and I have demonstrated how to install them and save it on the encrypted usb flash drive. I am not a financial adviser and expert in crypto currencies storage. I take no responsibility for your lost/forgotten passwords and phrases , forgotten/lost private/public keys , corrupted USB drives etc. Please do your own research properly before using any kind of wallet for your crypto currencies. Also make multiple digital backups and paper wallet backups and store all your passwords and phrases in the most secure manner available to you. When you are downloading software from any website and you want to check the current status of that website that if it's been compromised in any way then use the google safe browsing tool which is located here : https://www.google.com/transparencyreport/safebrowsing/diagnostic/ If you have any questions then please ask me on the channel, if you like the video then please like , share the video and subscribe to my channel.

GUIDE to BITCOIN & CRYPTOCURRENCY - Is BITCOIN / LITECOIN the FUTURE for CURRENCY

PLEASE DONATE BITCOIN or LITECOIN to Support our efforts to waken the masses BITCOIN: 18TndrqgZfHjPf7vv78jygxKF6vPfGwA7K LITECOIN: LSxSujEYKCG6T78DrDpnpzwDusgzca27as GUIDE to BITCOIN & CRYPTOCURRENCY - Is BITCOIN / LITECOIN the FUTURE for CURRENCY You've probably noticed people talking and tweeting endlessly about "Bitcoin" lately. It's even gotten the attention of economic heavyweight Paul Krugman, who has said it's like a reimplementation of the gold standard. Bitcoin (sign: BTC) is a decentralized digital currency[9][10] based on an open-source,[11] peer-to-peer internet protocol. It was introduced by a pseudonymous developer named Satoshi Nakamoto in 2009.[12] Bitcoins can be exchanged through a computer or smartphone locally or internationally without an intermediate financial institution.[13] In trade, one bitcoin is subdivided into 100 million smaller units called satoshis, defined by eight decimal points.[4] Bitcoin is not managed like typical currencies: it has no central bank or central organization. Instead, it relies on an internet-based peer-to-peer network. The money supply is automated and given to servers or "bitcoin miners" that confirm bitcoin transactions as they add them to a decentralized and archived transaction log approximately every 10 minutes. The log is authenticated by end-users through hashed ECDSA digital signatures (similar to a username and password) and confirmed by intense calculations of varying difficulty, performed by dedicated servers called bitcoin miners. Each 10-minute portion or "block" of the transaction log has an assigned money supply that is awarded to the miners once a "block" is confirmed. The amount per block depends on how long the network has been running and how much in transaction fees has been paid. Currently, 25 new bitcoins are generated with every 10-minute block. This will be halved to 12.5 BTC during the year 2017 and halved continuously every 4 years after until a hard limit of 21 million bitcoins is reached during the year 2140.[1][12] Bitcoin is the most widely used alternative currency[3][14] and accepted by various merchants and services internationally. As of March 2013, the monetary base of bitcoin is valued at over $1 billion USD.[15][16][17] The large fluctuation in the dollar value of a bitcoin has evoked criticism of bitcoin's economic suitability as a currency.[18] Bitcoins can be sent and received through various websites and apps. They interface with bitcoins stored locally or with a service. They use a system of ECDSA digital signatures to make and verify transactions. Confirmation of future transaction records makes the ones before it increasingly permanent. After six confirmed records or "blocks" (usually one hour), a transaction is usually considered confirmed beyond reasonable doubt. Initiators of a bitcoin transaction may voluntarily pay a transaction fee for the confirmation of these records. Any fees are collected by the operators of bitcoin servers -- often called nodes or "bitcoin miners". However, transaction fees may not cover the cost of electrical power required to operate a bitcoin miner. As a result the network server operators often rely on "mined" bitcoins as their only significant revenue.[19 Various vendors offer banknotes and coins denominated in bitcoins; a bitcoin private key is sold as part of a coin or banknote.
